Chapter 29 Laying Traps

Usagi did not mind the ninja who left him behind, to him, the three enemy ninja were as good as dead as soon as he set his sights on them.

Besides, they had already been discovered and if one of them didn't stay behind to stop the enemies, both of them would have been intercepted.

Usagi reeled in his thoughts as he used the combination of his shunshin and his strong body to deliver a blinding whirlwind kick, sending the sensory ninja out of commission with copious amounts of blood coming out of his head.

God knew if the ninja could be saved or not, the two enemy Chunin were surprised by the superior taijutsu and warmongering style displayed by Usagi as one of them used Earth release to send a bolder flying towards him.

Usagi smirked as his arm was covered in a black hue, with a shout, he directly shattered the rock coming his way, using Shunshin he rushed towards the attacker, with the Added weight technique he gave the ninja who was about to plunge his kunai into his hands a good smack.

The kunai failed to penetrate Usagi's body and instead sent the ninja tumbling back as he spat a mouthful of blood.

"T-that! You know Earth Spear technique," other ninja shouted in shock as he quickly used Earth flow technique in an effort to bind Usagi.

But Usagi wasn't dumb enough to stand and let his enemies take him out, he used shunshin once again, using the Eath wall would be uselesss since the other party would just deal with the wall using their technique.

Usagi jumped onto a tree, using one hand seal, he senf a huge gust of wind to knock the enemy back, Usagi took this opportunity to rush and deliver another whirlwind kick at full power, killing another Chunin.

In a couple of minutes, two out of three chunin were already dead and one was slumped against the tree.

"D-damh you Konoha ninja!" He yelled, about to commit suicide in fear that he might be tortured, but Usagi was ready for this.

He knocked the ninja out, as soon as he did this, several ninja appeared at his location, Usagi smiled as he recognized his teammate as well as their captain.

"Good job," the captain replied as he looked at the surroundings, the trees all around them were knocked away as if a powrful tornado had blasted them.

The ground was molded into a weird shape, probably the use of Earth flow, The Captain noted the severe killing blows dealt to the ninja.

'Hmm, the three of them have been defeated using a mix of Taijutsu and Ninjutsu, he hasn't acted suspicious, although this level of strength is definitely not something a chunin can posses, looking at the degree of head injury these ninjas have suffered, I doubt I could take on this kid if I weren't serious' the captain noted.

Meanwhile a Yamanaka clan ninja came forward and took the still breathing ninja with him while the other two were robbed clean by Usagi and disposed of.

Usagi returned to his captains side, noticed the chunin looking at him with wide eyes and a hint of guilt.

"Don't worry, I told you I could take care of them,you were just doing your Duty, I won't hold you accountable," hearing Usagi, the ninja sighed in relief.

He was worried that Usagi would tarnish his reputation and such, seeing Usagi's forgiving attitude, the ninja felt that Usagi was a nice guy, definitely not someone that should be spied upon.

After dealing with the mess, The captain gave orders,

"Although we have dealt with them, we can't rule out the possible threat of another scout team, so I think some of us should take a seperate route to confused the enemy," he stated.

The seven jonin looked among themselves,after a few minutes, two of them along with Usagi were ordered to create a distraction and lead the enemy astray while the other team left for the main camp.

Usagi didnt mind the team up as he reintroduced himself to the two jonin,

"Ho! We have heard of you, there's been a rumor that you are Jiraiya-sama's disciple or something,is it true," The lady Kunoichi asked as she smiled at Usagi.

"Ehehe, I am not really related to Jiraiya-sama, though I am honored that you think I am capable" Usagi awkwardly said.

Although he had denied it many times, people still thought he was related to the Old toad whenever he used his signature jutsu

"Haha! No need to feel uneasy, we are all people of the leaf, the fire burns wherever the leaves fly" the other jonin laughed loudly , prompting the other kunoichi to elbow him.

Usagi traveled along with the other party for a while and as expected they came across another party

They seemed to be looking for the previous scout party, Usagi understoof that the other party had been alerted.

They waited as the enemy nin followed the set up tracks

With a loud boom, a chunin was blown away by a trap while a genin was directly smashed by a falling log.

The battle ensued as the enemy nin's jonin conjured an Earth wall in an attempt to block the giant Earth Dragon jutsu performed by the two lead ninja.

Usagi also acted at this time as he rushed at the genin, using his quick reflexes and kunai,he took care of three genin in a matter of seconds before he set his sights on the remaining chunin.

"Kuro! You go and alert the others,this is a trap, we will hold them back"

A ninja out of the four chunin nodded as he ran away, Usagi tried to stop him but he was stopped by the other three chunin

Feeling frustrated,he directly released his taijutsu and sent two out of the three ninja flying,using the commotion created by this he ran after the fleeing ninja with the three following behind him in an effort to stop him.

Meanwhile the two konoha jonin were in a heated battle with the Rock ninja
