Ninja Academy Exam

"I will not let you go home until you clean all of this paint up! You understand me?" Iruka asked Naruto once they made their way up onto the monument with proper cleaning equipment.

"Like I care! It is not like I have anyone to go home to anyways!" Naruto shouted in response out of anger before continuing to rub the paint off the statue in front of him.

Iruka instead of becoming angry from Naruto's response, he actually showed a bit of sadness in his face. After pondering about something, he finally started to talk to Naruto again. "Hey, Naruto."

"Now what do you want?" feeling extremely pissed off at needing to clean this mess he made all by himself, Naruto felt annoyed that Iruka was trying to talk to him again.

"Well actually, if you clean all this up, I will buy you some ramen for dinner tonight." scratching his face, Iruka responded while looking in the other direction.

Now smiling, Naruto looked at Iruka to make sure that he was not bluffing. "Ok! I will work hard, I promise!" he shouted out once he realized that it was a true statement.

-That night at the ramen shop-

"Hey Naruto?" Iruka now being served their meals took the opportunity to ask Naruto about his actions earlier.

"Why were you doing that to the monument? Don't you know who the Hokage are?" Iruka asked Naruto as he started to eat the bowl of ramen in front of him.

"Of course!" Naruto replied after slurping down his first mouthful of his food. ""Basically, those that receive the Hokage name, are the strongest Ninja in the village, right? And among them is the 4th, a hero who saved the village from a fox demon."

"Then why would you deface them as you did?" Iruka asked feeling rather puzzled.

"One day, I am going to get the Hokage name. And then, I am going to surpass all of the previous Hokage!" pointing his chop sticks at Iruka, Naruto made a heroic pose and brimmed with confidence!

"And then, I will make the village recognize my strength! By the way sensei, I have a request to make."

"What is it Naruto? Did you want seconds?" hearing Naruto's explanation, Iruka almost choked on his food in shock.

"No, can I borrow your leaf head protector?" Naruto asked while snickering and holding his hands together like a little kid who asked their parents for candy.

"Oh this? No, this is for after you graduate! This is a symbol that you've come of age. Maybe you wll get one tomorrow?" holding his head band with one hand, Iruka started to mock Naruto in a friendly gesture.

-The next morning-

"Now for the graduation exam! You will do the Bushin no Jutsu. When you are called, come to the next room!" Iruka explained to the classroom.

"Damn! Why did it have to be that jutsu? That is my worst skill!" slapping his face with both hands in anger, Naruto began to sweat immensely.

After several students left the room to do the test, Naruto's name was finally called. "Naruto Uzumaki, please go to the room next door for your test.

Seeing a large row of headbands on the table in front of the two instructors, Naruto's confidence started to rise once more. "Watch this, I will do it!"

"Bushin no Jutsu!" Naruto cried out as a cloud of smoke covered him. Unfortunately, the clone he created, was on the floor next to him and not even moving!

"Fail!" Iruka getting over how bad Naruto did, he did not hesitate in the slightest to give him a failing grade.

"Hey Iruka, this is his third time taking a test. He technically did create a clone, we could let him pass, right?" the other instructor asked Iruka.

"No way, Mizuki Sensei. Everyone else divided into three clones, but Naruto only created one clone. Not only that, but the clone he created was a useless one. I am unable to allow him to pass with those results." Iruka responded as Naruto was led out of the testing room.
