Izayoi Kenshi

The sun was still rising in eastern Konoha, but several thumping sounds could already be heard behind the Hokage's mountain.

A young man between eleven or twelve was swinging a wooden sword against the leaves falling from the dry branches of the trees. Even with his small stature, his movements were so fluid that not even the sound of the wind could be heard with the swing of his sword.

Suddenly:

"Booooom"

The sound of a tree falling to the ground could be heard a few meters from where the boy was.

If one had good eyesight, one could notice that with each movement of the young man against the leaves, a small stream of wind shot towards the tree that had just fallen. There were already several leaves on the ground that had fallen in the sway of the wind, but they all had a perfectly smooth cut in their center.

'.. Looks like my control with the wind element is really giving results! My technique is already much stronger than last year..' The young man muttered, sweat still running down his face.

This young man was Izayoi Kenshi, a young man who had just graduated from the academy and was waiting for the next class to find out who his team would be.

In fact, he wasn't too excited to know this, as most of the students in his class wouldn't want to team up with him. Not because he has some bad personality, or someone who disgusts people; but for the simple fact that he couldn't practice ninjutsu.

No, he doesn't have a problem with chakra and even has a higher amount than many students in his class. However, for some reason he couldn't use his chakra in any ninjutsu no matter how simple.

His chakra control is also very good, being highly praised by his teacher for applying a C-rank genjutsu on one of his classmates, and also for being one of the fastest to escape his teacher's genjutsu.

So, even though they didn't know exactly why this happened, the doctors in Konoha decided that it was a natural problem with their own body.

This left Izayoi very shaken at first, but he managed to pull himself together quickly and simply changed the path of a ninja, to the path of a Swordsman. Since then, he has never let go of the sword in his hands and has perfected himself even further in genjutsu.

The combination of his swift sword with the distraction of a genjutsu was simply too fatal for all the colleagues he's dealt with so far. The only ones that were more problematic were the last Uchiha of his class, and the blond troublemaker who didn't seem to fall for his genjutsu at all. However, the two have yet to match him in normal combat.

This made the Hokage very interested in this boy with such a strong will to continue the ninja academy, that he not only approved him to officially become a ninja, but also passed him various sword techniques that were not being used by any ninja for him. .

And that for Izayoi was like adding wings to a tiger! His training, control, and speed with a sword was simply unmatched against his peers. It was as if Izayoi was born specifically to be a swordsman from the start.

Even though he couldn't use ninjutsu, he could use his elements on his sword. When he tested his affinities, he was shocked to discover that he had three different affinities.

Lightning, Wind, and Fire. All being the most destructive elements. If he could use ninjutsu and also his sword along with all these affinities, it would be more than certain that he would be an extremely powerful ninja! Unfortunately….

But even so, at the end of his senior year at the academy he was named the best student of the year after losing all previous years to the Uchiha boy.

Still, there was great discrimination in the class over who could and could not use ninjutsu. The only thing that greatly improved Izayoi's interaction with his class was his good looks, and his intelligence that seemed to be leagues above his naive classmates.

Her hair was black and spiky, her eyes were strangely red, and her skin was white, comparable to a girl's skin. Her body could be considered the most "beautiful" of her entire class in terms of shape and stature. Even at a young age, he was already the biggest in his class, and that earned him some points with some girls.

However, if he was like the genin from the previous year who couldn't use ninjutsu either, and had that weird appearance and loud voice when speaking, it wouldn't be strange to think that he would be the next outcast in his class.

'.. I'm going to show everyone that I can be much stronger even without being able to use ninjutsu! Our Senior is still working hard even though he can't use chakra, and he's very strong. So this must be possible! ..' (A/N: Rock Lee)

Thinking about it, Izayoi gripped his sword hilt tightly again and started swinging. His footsteps were also somewhat confused giving no indication of where he would be in the next moment, being as unpredictable as a snake.

In his hand, it was possible to notice that there was a light blue energy that ran along the edge of the wooden sword and flew in each direction that the sword swung.

This was a blunt technique that Izayoi was trying to perfect even more. He called it 'Intent of the sword'. It was a technique that The Second Hokage, Tobirama senju began creating shortly before he died, but it remained incomplete in the Hokage's office until Hiruzen found it and passed it on to Izayoi.

The sword's intent, along with the swing of the sword, fired a wave of chakra towards the target. Even if the current force and cut wasn't enough to cut a person in half; it was still enough to seriously injure an opponent if caught off guard.

For the next two hours, Izayoi didn't stop swinging his sword. His legs and arms were trembling on the verge of collapsing at any moment. Just then Izayoi stopped his movements and lowered his sword to the side of his waist.

Her breathing that had been calm a moment ago suddenly quickened, and the veins in her arms and legs felt like they were pulsing beneath her skin. Her T-shirt was soaked with sweat, but there was still a smile, even though it was sore, on her lips.

From the moment he heard that he couldn't be a full-fledged ninja, Izayoi worked a lot harder on his body. Right now he still had weights on his legs to increase his speed in the future! That was something he learned from a shout from Rock Lee's master the other day. So he decided to adapt for himself to improve even faster.

'..Unfortunately you're a year ahead of me, or I wouldn't resist having a purely physical battle with you! ..'

In her head, the young man in the strange green outfit and bulging eyes flashed through her mind. This was a person he really wanted to face one day. Knowing that even though he would be judged by many people and still not giving up on his dreams made Izayoi respect him a lot.

Falling to the ground, Izayoi slowly began to steady his breathing. His tense muscles also began to loosen and calm down.

Suddenly, the sound of movement in the bushes caught Izayoi's attention, shifting his gaze in that direction.

Soon, a blond boy with a mustache and a bright smile appeared next to a young man with pineapple hair.

"HaHa! I knew he was here. Didn't I tell you? he spends most of his day training on this mountain!" Naruto yelled loudly with his infectious laugh causing both Shikamaru and Izayoi to cover their ears and roll their eyes at him.

Shaking his head at him, Izayoi smiled slightly as he sat down on the floor.

"Naruto, you need to learn to control your voice! Where have you ever seen a ninja be so loud!?" Shikamaru scolded him, letting out a prolonged yawn.
