In the woods of Yugakure,
"What is... casting forward?" Yaoya, still reeling from the slap, was a bit confused.
At this moment, Hidan on the ground opened his eyes and began howling maniacally, "Ah ah ah, it hurts. You bastard, how dare you interrupt the evil god's ritual."
"You deserve death."
"Aren't you going to die now?"
Yaoya was taken aback; it was highly unusual for a human head to speak.
"Hahahaha, this is all a gift from Jashin-sama! I am immortal! Immortal!"
"Even if there is only one head left! I will crawl over and bite your throat out!"
Natsuki remained expressionless, took out a kunai, and threw it with full force.
The kunai was inserted directly into Hidan's mouth, destroying his tongue, and leaving him only able to produce whining sounds.
Natsuki turned around and said to Yaoya, "Look at the pattern under his feet. His sickle has collected your blood. Just licking the blood into his mouth is enough."
"Just stand there, and it will be linked to your life. If he stabs himself in the heart, you'll die right here."
Yaoya was shocked, realizing he had walked through the gates of hell.
"You clearly saw him drawing patterns on the ground and would rather be shot by your shuriken than leave the circle. Why didn't you interrupt him?"
Natsuki was very angry, almost losing his patience with this inexperienced Uchiha.
Yaoya lowered his head, expressing remorse. "I'm sorry, Natsuki-sama."
"Forget it," Natsuki said, still annoyed. But after all, he was a traveler and had insight into Hidan's methods.
Others might not be aware, so it was natural for them to be cautious and hesitant to step forward.
"Are you here for the mission of the Jashin cult?"
Yaoya nodded and replied, "Yes. This evil cult suddenly emerged in Yugakure recently. Some members are incredibly resilient, making them nearly impossible to kill. So, they sought assistance from the Otogakure and came here."
"How many of you are coming? Who is leading the team?"
"Sir, there are six of us, known as the Shisui team. We have already eradicated three strongholds. While scouting the remaining strongholds, I encountered this person," he answered respectfully.
In such a small village, the abilities of ninjas varied, and most lacked systematic training.
They were so weak that they couldn't even defeat a Konoha genin, let alone an elite of the Uchiha clan.
So, a team of six, led by Shisui, had arrived, already encountering and dealing with these heretics.
Natsuki glanced over and observed Hidan still mumbling something, although a person with a severed tongue couldn't articulate coherent sounds.
Among all the members of the Akatsuki organization, Natsuki held the most hate for Hidan—not because he lacked intelligence, but because Hidan killed to please a god.
He continued to preach, aiming to recruit more followers into his twisted church.
Despite being the only current immortal finished product, the fear lingered that another Hidan might emerge in the future.
This pure murderous cult had to be eradicated.
Initially contemplating taking Hidan's head back to Orochimaru for research, Natsuki found the idea too repulsive. Instead, he decided to bury him, out of sight.
Natsuki's Sharingan eyes spun violently, transforming into Mangekyo Sharingan, summoning a colossal Susanoo instantly.
Yaoya stared at Natsuki's towering Susanoo with awe.
In the distance, Shisui and his party looked up, witnessing the colossal Susanoo emerging in the forest.
"It's Natsuki-senpai! Let's go!" Shisui exclaimed with excitement.
It had been many years since he last saw Natsuki, and encountering him here was an unexpected delight.
Seeing Susanoo appear, Kisame and the others in the distance also moved closer, drawn by the sight.
...
"Boom!" A tremendous roar echoed.
Natsuki's Susanoo delivered a powerful punch to Hidan's head, creating a deep hole in the ground.
He surveyed the scene, witnessing a gruesome mess of blood and flesh in the pit, with no signs of life remaining.
Natsuki, curious, contemplated whether Hidan, now in pieces, could resurrect.
Natsuki's Susanoo withdrew its arm, sweeping left and right, burying Hidan's remains in the ground.
"Boom!" Following suit, Natsuki personally obliterated Hidan's body into a pulp, creating another hole to sweep the remains into.
Yaoya watched in shock, realizing his ruthlessness.
A swishing sound signaled Shisui and the others' arrival, followed by Kisame and the rest.
Observing both parts of Hidan's body beaten into pieces and buried, Natsuki dismissed Susanoo.
Shisui felt tense seeing Kisame and the others, especially because they wore Kirigakure's attire.
However, Natsuki landed in front of Shisui quickly, reassuring him, "Don't be nervous; they are all allies."
Natsuki's words eased Shisui and the others, prompting them to lower their guard.
"Why did you come out to perform the mission? Has your problem been solved?" He inquired.
Shisui nodded, "Orochimaru has provided a stabilizing potion for us. There's no issue with its light use."
Natsuki acknowledged with a nod, choosing not to delve further into the matter. He could discuss it in detail when he returned to Orochimaru.
Natsuki introduced everyone's names without going into much detail.
However, Uchiha Shisui's name carried weight in Kirigakure, and Kisame's shark-like eyes occasionally shifted to glance at Shisui.
Noticing this, Natsuki inwardly smiled. Since acquiring Samehada, Kisame's strength has been steadily increasing.
However, his constant travels left him with few opportunities to test his abilities.
Now, with the presence of Shisui, Kisame seemed ready to make a move.
"Complete the mission first, then return to the Otogakure immediately."
Ignoring Kisame, Natsuki prioritized finishing the mission.
Shisui reported that they successfully eradicated three forts
of the Cult one after another.
Some of these cultists had undergone body modifications, enhancing their strength and rendering them impervious to pain.
While they posed initial challenges, they didn't mount a formidable resistance later.
They had discovered that the headquarters of the Cult was in a cave in the northwest.
Hidan appeared to be the sole successful experimental subject, as others couldn't curse like him.
To expedite their journey, Natsuki issued a warning, "This cult has a spell that can use your blood to harm you. Be cautious not to get injured. If you see someone drawing a magic circle at your feet, destroy it or move them out of the circle's range."
He further cautioned, "There might be other undead capable of moving even after losing their limbs."
The Uchiha members listened attentively, their expressions growing serious.
The previous branches they had encountered only showcased simple body modifications.
They hadn't anticipated the Cult possessing these abilities.
Ninjas, with high attack and low defense, could easily find themselves in peril if not careful. Natsuki's information was invaluable in navigating these threats.
Arriving at the cave entrance, two guards stood watch.
Shisui jumped down, his eyes widened, and the guards crumpled to the ground. The group proceeded into the cave.
Natsuki raised his head and caught sight of Kisame, who seemed ready to take action.
"You should go help too, Kisame."
Kisame chuckled, responding, "Follow your orders, boss."
Following Shisui and the others, Kisame entered the cave.
Natsuki, addressing the remaining three—Haku, Miru, and Kimimaro—advised them to wait at the entrance.
"Just wait for us at the door. It will be over soon."
With Haku, Miru, and Kimimaro left outside (Kimimaro is prohibited from fighting by Natsuki), Natsuki is also curious to witness Kisame's current level. He followed at a slower pace into the cave.
