Alex watched the Lundan siblings leave and shook his head slightly; he was too enthusiastic and definitely not cut out for dealing with people like them.

"Why did you just agree to an alliance?"

Dusa kicked her brother, "That guy named Wayne is not honest. Talk less with him in the future; you have no vigilance at all. You might get sold out without even knowing it."

Alex nodded; his sister had always been smart since she was young. If she said Wayne was not honest, he definitely wasn't.

"And that Veronica, there's something weird about the relationship between those siblings..."

Dusa kicked her brother again. Frowning and at a loss for words, she gestured a few times, "Like siblings but not quite, just very strange, maybe they are cousins!"

"What's the difference? Wayne is guarding his sister to become the Holy Maiden, and Veronica is the real candidate; knowing that is enough."
