The Tapestries

Feia spent day in day out making her beautiful tapestries. The other Gods and Goddess's clamoured to have them. Onicent had been reluctant to lend out his daughters skills, but Airabella insisted he allow Feia to do what she wished.

Feia's sense of pride grew within herself. She was admired and wanted by all. No longer was she ridiculed for her scar.

One project she did was for her aunt Serse and Neonee. Feia had hoped to make Neonee thrilled by her work, and indeed he was impressed, but not as much as she had hoped. Feia's heart ached, but nonetheless she carried on.

Neonee did show her his own work. He was working on a machine he claimed would like humans fly. But something was missing he said sadly. Feia smiled at him.

"You'll figure it out." She said standing on her tippy toes.

But she was hurt.

That was when something reached her ears.

Far away there was a young woman who also made paintings, and she was being honoured alike to a goddess.

Feia grumbled about it at first, but soon that grumbling turned to curiosity. She decided to pay this woman a visit. Feia dressed herself in a deep hooded purple cloak and a simple dress. She hoped to blend in with the humans. The last thing she did was remove her veil. This was a frightening action. She stared at her face and felt a great sense of pain at her appearance. But she put that away and left.

She marched to the village and on the way met with Sonnis. Sonnis was startled by her appearance seeing she'd never seen Feia without her veil. In the end the two set off together, Sonnis enchanted both of them with her magic to make them look more human.

When they arrived at the village they received tentative welcome. The humans were confused by the arrival of the two young girls without parents or husbands. But Sonnis glared at them all and amazingly they backed off.

They walked together to the village common area. There they found the woman who made tapestries. Feia and Sonnis sidled into the crowd around her. She was undoubtably talented, nearly perhaps as talented as Feia herself. This made Feia both angry and fond. Here was another individual who understood her art.

Feia pushed toward her, the woman looked up at Feia questioningly.

"Your work is made with great skill." Feia noted.

The woman nodded. "People come from all around to see my work, I don't recognize you, are you one of these?"

Feia laughed lightly, some of her anger rose. "Surely you have heard though of the Goddess Feia, who is the creator of this craft."

"Indeed, who has not." She said laughingly.

Feia pressed, "then surely you must thank her for your skill."

"I have no reason to thank her for my skill, she did not teach me. I owe her nothing!"The woman said shaking her head.

The group of people around the two seemed to step back. Feia felt a blind anger and at once her disguise melted off. The humans gasped at Feia, some even mentioning her terrible scar.

Feia felt anger course through her.

"Do not laugh at me!" She screamed at them all. She bore down on the woman. "I will have a contest with you, then we shall see who is best."

The woman looked quite frightened, but nodded.

Feia and the woman began furious work. Feia painted her entire family looking strong and terrifying, her brother Amos's sword glittered with blood, Ilodeena's eyes seemed to sparkle.

The woman made a frightening portrait of the pain the Gods and Goddess's had caused on her people.

When they were both done they stood back. Both were gorgeous, in fact they were almost equally gorgeous. Feia's rage flared so high that without thinking she struck the woman. Instantly the woman seemed to change shape. Now there was an odd eight legged creature standing before Feia and the humans. The humans screamed upon seeing the creature. Hate glowed within its eyes. Some humans approached holding weapons.

Feia gasped in horror at what had happened, but seeing the humans coming to kill it, "Be gone!" Feia cried at it. Partly out of her own heavy guilt. The creature scampered away from her into the dark.
