Chapter 21: Nomed Demood

He materialized in the dark eerie wood.

A thunderous crash can be heard from the sky. The rumbling of distant thunder is followed by the flash of lightning the sky went dark and it started to rain.

His eyes penetrated the darkness, hunting for that disturbing and lingering sense. He can sniff the smell. Yes, that lingering smell caught his attention. That smell he once sensed from the mysterious Mellisa, and that was different from her lavender scent.

That dark aura. And now he is here, the smell gets closer and more familiar and he wondered who exactly is playing mind games with him.

He swirls around, his eyes searching for that threat. He smirks like he already knows what it is. Nodding his head at the same time slowly stood up. Slowly he shook his fingers off like ants were wriggling around his fingers and he is shaking them off.

He has a thunderous expression as he fixed his eyes on the darkest side of the wood like he is expecting something to emerge from there.

The rain drenched him mercilessly but he remain unfazed.

"Nomed...." He groans, and his eyes suddenly become dark shooting out the danger with an extremely dangerous aura that will cause shivers to the heart and kill one at a goal.

Right from the darkest end of the wood facing him and where he already fixed his eyes unblinkingly.

A mysterious image began to surface from the dark. The more it appeared, the more the wood took the appearance of its firelight frames and soon the two were facing each other.

A mysterious body formed, followed by a howling sound; all in his presence but he didn't flinch. It seems he was already expecting the visitor.

The two stared deeply into each other eyes. Bloodbath already dangling in the air and the sky echoed a corresponding clashing sound.

The image was covered with dark howling flames. It growled and darkness covered the wood. The thundered crash and lightning flash gave a dim second brightness followed by instant darkness.

Nomed dark eyes and its hands were the only things seen and it shots out dangerously. It screamed for blood. Its claws desired to be devoured.

"How hungry are thou? Oh beast of Reficul." Armstrong chortled darkly.

"Long time no see...Dear son."

"I am not your son; you animal." He spats.

"That is not how to welcome your long-lost mother dear son."

"Shut the fvck up and don't bring my innocent mother into your mess."

Armstrong growls. His eyes raged in anger. It looks like he is getting closer to his limit. He wants to devour. He needs to feed on something to calm his thirsty and hungry spirit down.

His canines elongated, and his claws grow and out.

This can only happen when he felt anger and reassessment. He needs to feed them.

"I have heard that many times dear son."

"And you never learn, probably because you are stupid and blinded by your gullibility and greediness." He mocked her. An irking laugh that boils the monster's soul and set his rage on fire.

"Enough....." She thundered.

"Or What? I saw your gift and I'm here to tell you where to get her remnants by the time I'm done with her...Well, I don't think that will be necessary again because I will devour her mentally and feed her body to Banshee and he will crush her bones." He said in a flippant tone, turning his back and taking his leave before her voice halt his movement.

"Good of you to think that I would use a fragile girl to carry out my mission. She is as useless as your first woman."

She chuckled a mockery sounds.

Armstrong halted and clenched his fists. Her presence irritates him.

"You think I will believe that; Nomed Demood the evil-doer? Was there anything good about you? Such a gruesome creature." He spats.

With the anger surging through him, quickly he raise his left hand and fastly prepared powerful blue flames, swirling around, and with the speed of lightning, he throws the balls of power and it's directly hit the monster's forehead.

It was too quick that Nomed couldn't dodge it and it ended up hitting her forehead and sending her flying.

She swish midair and immediately bang herself on a tree, Making that bang sounds that filled the entire wood and sent away the birds out of the air. She hit the ground as she wasn't able to balance her landing so she roared on the ground; coughing out blood from her mouth and gripping her chest in pain.

It seems Armstrong knocked her out of her mysterious state and back to her normal self.

Now she appeared like a slender witch, her long disheveled hair with nails like that of a Jezebel. She makes mockery sounds.

Armstrong approached her, and she crawled back as he kept stepping forward. She knows she is in her valuable state now and Armstrong this devil won't spare her this time.

But she was fully prepared, maybe not for Armstrong. As he approached her, his gaze fixed directly on her forward and before she would be able to utter a spell he felt a squalling force acting on her before she could tell what is happening she saw herself dangling freely mid-air

She saw herself being drawn in the whirlwind of unimaginable force and powers. She knows how dangerous and drastic Armstrong is.

He won't blink an eye before wasting her. Just when she thought she is closer than before this Armstrong shows a different and dangerous side.

The force acting upon her is becoming strong and stronger and now she understands that Armstrong will strangle her without a single thought. She quickly pulled and pulled and was able to utter a strong spell.

Clapping her hands together. She said it, a mysterious spell she could think of. The sky thundered and the sky flash lightning and the rain sped up.

With the speed of lightning, the force pulling and acting on her broke away forcibly, pulling Armstrong and her at the same time and tossing them away.

Armstrong groans as he felt his body being slammed into a tree. But he quickly raises and cleans his mouth with his left thumb finger. He lick his tongue and smirk darkly, closing his eyes at same straightened his neck.

A glamorous flame slowly rose and form around him. It emits and radiates something like a bluish smoke.

Nomed chucked darkly, as she gradually rose from her side, her eyes already changing to something unfathomable as she makes charges against Armstrong.

This is not a battle for the fainted heart.

Nomed knows her coming here won't be as easy as she already pictured it.

"It seems I misjudged you, son"

Armstrong scoffed and glare dangerously at her.

Armstrong now understands why she made her first appearance. Maybe she wants to know the gravity of his powers and strength and use it against him.

She can't just appear from nowhere after hiding herself for years. He throws his head backward, clenching his fist. He should have known better.

Creatures like Nomed knows how to fool their enemies, therefore getting what they want without trying hard.

Well since she made herself the game player, he will allow himself to be played this time.

Use a barbarian and catch a barbarian.

"You seem to think too highly of me"

And then he clap his palms together and concoct something that looks like a small smokey mist, drawing his hands back, and speeding directing the mysterious mist towards Nomed who blocked it with her palm.

She flinched back and the powerful mist straight up and clash with the nearby trees.

Nomed flipped up and spun dash landing in front of Armstrong and hitting him with a powerful uppercut which Armstrong managed to dodge by swirling around, dodging her blows, and finally grabbed her red scarf twisting it around her neck, and flipped her over and over in different side finally throwing her away and she crashed on the ground in pain.

Nomed hit the ground, turned, and glared dangerously at Armstrong, her hair tousled and disheveled. Blood dripped from the end of her left lip.

She twist her neck, and glared at him; using her two hands which were gripping the leaves. She snarled, makes a gesture in the air, and immediately a flying dark spear was fast approaching Armstrong.

It happens so quickly but Armstrong managed to dodge with a backflip and the arrow ended up hitting heaven knows where.

Armstrong quickly flip up and landed in front of Nomed and giving her that hard kick that sent her flying again into the sky. This time he didn't wait for her to land before rushing her and griping her neck. The two hanging in mid-air.

She managed she free her neck by hitting his chin forcibly with her fist and he went spinning rapidly.

The two spin rapidly and clashed again in mid-air. Their collision is like two doomed angels battling for powers and dominion.

They spin and spin causing a temporary eclipse of who will win this battle. When Armstrong managed to get a grip of Nomed Scarf, and this time when he wanted to flip up her, she manages to hit his forehead.

It was a mighty hit, knocking him to the ground and sending him into a five seconds soul-searching.

Five seconds later, his eyes fluttered open and he abruptly stood to take his cover but Nomed had already shape-shifted into a mysterious bird and flown away making a devilish squall full of mockery and warning.

Armstrong stretch his hands and noticed the blood dripping from his forehead. His eyes flares up and anger took over him. And now he desired to hunt a soul.
