The Mystic Tower exudes a very majestic feeling… The temperature was different and the quality of air seems to be so much better than the outside.
He couldn't exactly tell the difference but he can say that it is very refreshing.
He was then assisted to wait at the guest reception room. There is a wide sofa where he can seat and relax so he made himself comfortable.
'The headmaster, huh… I wonder what's his relation to Uncle Henrik…'
Arial mused as he observes the rooms. He had already gotten used to the technology of this world that was far behind what he was used to.
However, this place still looks luxurious from the rags that were used, jars that were displayed, together with the paintings on the wall.
The place is completely different from Hendrik's home.
As he was marveling at the decorations around the room, he noticed that a gentleman entered the room…
He's wearing a long white robe with golden embroidery at the edges as he walks in front of him with a dignified stature.
The man appears to be in his forties and he seemed younger than the man he treated as his uncle in this world.
"Oh~ I heard that you have this token from the previous Head of the Royal Guards… Wait, I mean Henrik Wolden…" The gentleman said as he took the seat in front of him. He looked at the token a bit more before putting it on the table.
"Ahh, you don't have to stand up. Just seat there and get yourself comfortable, you must've traveled from afar." He added after seeing that Arial was about to politely greet him.
On the other hand, the young man finally realized that Henrik was really not a simple person. The title Head of the Royal Guards sounded awesome to him. Though the man was already retired, it doesn't change the fact that he was quite influential.
"I understand. Thank you, headmaster. You're right, I'm Arial Wolden and I'm his nephew" Arial replied as looked at the man. He has grayish hair and smooth skin, unlike the rough Henrik.
It almost seem that this handsome Headmaster wasn't leaving this Mystic Tower at all.
Anyway, he was unsure whether this guy would buy his fake identity but he has a feeling that he was brought here to ensure that his identity would be flawless… and his guess seems to be right.
"Let me introduce myself again… I'm Ruslan Valeria the Headmaster of this Academy of Mystic Arts. Do not worry about your identity as I will vouch for you… Let me see the recommendation letter that you have…"
Ruslan smiled as he waited for Arial. As soon as he received the letter, he opened it in front of him and read the letter.
However, Arial could swear that there's only a single sentence on that letter! Nevertheless, the man still smiled before burning the letter…
"This guy has never changed… Alright, I will handle your enrollment. Since Henrik has a title of a Viscount, you wouldn't have a problem. I will take care of everything for you. For now, I'll arrange your room so you can have a rest."
"T-thank you, Headmaster."
"Don't worry about it… Anyway, do you have any questions? He should've mentioned about what the Academy is like, right?"
"Ahhh… Yes, yes… He told me many things I have to be careful with. Anyway, I didn't know that Uncle Henrik is actually a Viscount, he never told me."
'And though his house is decent, it doesn't look like a noble house at all that I've read from the book… He doesn't even have a single maid.' Arial added in his thoughts.
From the book he read, he learned that the lowest rank of nobility was a Baron. It was then followed by Viscount, Count, Earl, Marquess, the Duke, and the King and Queen of the Kingdom.
"Oh, it's because something happened to the land he previously owns… If he didn't tell you about it, I won't try to explain that much… However, you can probably learn more about this in the Academy so don't worry."
Ruslan kindly said as he stood up and called someone to assist him. It seems that he's some kind of apprentice or secretary working in the Mystic Tower.
After giving instruction to the newly arrived man, Ruslan left the reception room to deal with his enrollment.
"Follow me, Sir Wolden." The man who just arrived politely said as he lead him outside the Tower. It seems that he's about to go to his dormitory within the premises of the Academy.
"Thank you for assisting me… May I know your name?" Arial asked since he might be seeing this person often.
"I'm Zaur Dorrian. I'm one of the Headmaster's disciples… I heard that you came from a faraway land and you don't know a lot of things here."
"That's right, I just arrived here from a five-day journey..." Arial replied. The man in front of him seems to be in his early twenties. He has a calm aura with him but Arial feels like this man is dangerous.
He could subtly feel that his aura has similar to the doctors who experimented on him.
He didn't feel it at first but now that he's talking to him, his dangerous aura started leaking…
"I see… Then listen to me, you can always visit the third building's library if you have things you want to know… There is someone there who can help newcomers like you. If you're good at fighting, that's bad… You must treat yourself as someone weak here or it'll be too late. I don't know why you're getting special treatment but I'd advise you not to stand out or you'll offend someone you shouldn't have."
Zaur started giving his advice.
Of course, Arial nodded at this but even if he didn't mention it, he's already planning not to stand out.
He knows that he's a successful experiment of one of the best gene research institutes in his other life and he brought it here with him…
"Thank you for your advice, Sir Zaur. I will keep it in mind." Arial smiled as he waited for the man to leave before he entered his room.
