Chapter 3

After four weeks of searching and no news, Emily and the others were starting to get weary. The endless searching has gotten them. With no lead, they started to loose hope.

"UGHHH! EMILY!!! Can we rest now?!" Alli groaned as she leaned back into her chair, dropping her book on her face.

Is she always going to be so lazy? When is she going to grow up? Emily sighed internally, but Amy is always like this, so she needs to change that in the future. "Relax, we just started. No need to whine".

But internally, Emily felt annoyed too, with no kind of prompt that they could find as a clue, how will they be able to solve why magic disappeared? To be honest, they have been in the library for hours and the sky is starting to set. What do they do now?

"Lets call it a day. We are still young, Emily's ancestors took years to find barely any clues at all. No need to panic of such matters" Bill said as he put's down his book, seemingly not affected by all that reading.

"Not you, you need to get a wife soon!" Emily joked, making everyone else feel more relaxed.

"Now that we are finished, how about we go to a party? We worked so hard for so long that we need a break to soothe ourselves" Amy jumped in and suggested, which everyone agreed to since nobody likes reading books continuously for weeks about history that can't be found for some reason.

"But-"

"Party today, search tomorrow!" Alli repeatedly whined

"FINE! NOW BE QUIET"

"YAYYYYYYYYYY"

The next day, they met up near the gate wearing formal attire.

Alli was wearing a pink dress, matching her cute demure. Or at least her act. While Bill was wearing a navy blue tuxedo, matched with new navy blue glasses and a cotton cloth hang loosely on his jacket pocket. Emily was wearing a royal blue dress and a silver belt, wearing heels to look taller.

Once they met, the crowd had started to get bigger. They squeeze through the crowd, and using Emily's tittle as princess, finally being able to get in the hall.

The hall was fancy, but large enough to fit many people. Tables stacked with food, chicken, soup, many more, and even the famous ice cream bread! People chatted along and enjoyed their food (especially the ice cream bread) with smiles.

"Wow! It felt like ages since we came out" Alli gasped and started running around feeling at home.

"Slow down Alli, it's only been a couple of weeks" Bill caught up to her and pulled her back.

"But it felt like eternity!" Alli whined

"Don't think it's going to work on me" Bill glared.

"It's okay. Let's enjoy this party slowly" Emily giggled as she looked at the them. It's true the only times she had fun was with these two, every time feeling happiness and comfort. Even though her father also cared for her, being busing with everyday affairs tire him, barely leaving any time for him to spend with her.
