The Rude Nurse

After all that was happening to John, I didn't know how to feel. Was I supposed to be his girlfriend just because he got cancer? I didn't want to him to think that me saying yes to his proposal was a cancer perk, he has already gotten tons of cancer perks and I don't think he is very happy about it. When I went to visit him today something seemed off about him he wasn't smiling not even a bit, it looked like he was in pain!

"John are you alright?!" I asked feeling very worried.

"Yes-" he couldn't finish his sentence because he had fainted! I pressed a button on his desk which I predicted called the nurse. Then I saw that Johns G tube had came out, as I was starting to panic the nurse finally came and told me to leave. what did John do to deserve this I thought to myself. He was the kindest, sweetest person I knew, he doesn't deserve this at all. After a few hours the nurse came to me and said that John was fine now. I exhaled, thank god he's fine I thought.

"Can I see him?" I asked praying that I could.

"im sorry miss but family only for now" she said in a stern voice. I hate it when nurses say that, I mean friends are like family but I didn't tell her that so I just nodded my head and left. Then I had a brilliant idea.

"I'm his sister" I quickly said.

"Well then you may go"

I couldn't believe my plan worked! I went in to see John it looked like he was sleeping. He looked so peaceful when he slept, I sat next to him.

"John out of all the people in this world why do you have to go through this. You don't deserve this, I love you" I said.

" aww, so sweet of you I do to " he said and winked at me. I froze.

"Your awake?!"

"Yep"

"Um pretend you didn't hear what I just said"

"But I heard it loud and clear"

"seriously please don't be a jerk "

"fine and for your information I am not a jerk"

"Thank you!" I hugged him, it felt good to hug him after a long time.

"hey, you wanna play something?" he asked.

"Ye sure but what"

"Hmmm how about truth or dare"

"seriously only 7th graders play that"

"come on it will be fun"

"ok fine lets play, truth or dare John"

"dare"

"I dare you to say to one of the nurses that they are the prettiest woman in this building"

"I could never do that I would be lying because your the prettiest woman here"

I blushed.

" just do it lover boy"

"fine"

He went up to one of the nurses and said it. The nurse blushed and shooed him back to his room, I was laughing so hard when he came back.

" Now she's going to think I like her, thanks a lot Ashe"

"Your very welcome little one" I grinned.

"Now time for revenge, Truth or dare?"

"Truth"

" seriously wow wimp "

" I AM NOT A WIMP!"

"then pick dare"

"fine"

"Yesss, I dare you to lick the wall"

" What?! there is so much dirt. You want me to get sick?!"

"Yes actually so we can spend more time together"

" aww"

" Do it!"

"fine"

The walls tasted like moldy bread.

"Eww gross"

"what did it taste like?" I decided to exaggerate a bit.

"sweat, socks and mold"

"oh, now I feel bad"

"you should feel bad!"

" im sorry"

"its fine " I smiled. Then the rude nurse walked in.

" John you have to rest" She said.

" What?! just five more minutes come on"

" No! Rest now!" she said in a very stern voice.

" Fine, Bye Ashe"

" Bye John"

As I left the room suddenly I felt loneliness taking over my body. I walked to my house and still felt quite lonely. I decided to watch a movie, I decided to go for Harry potter and the Philosophers stone. It was a good movie but I fell asleep while watching it, maybe it was because I have read the book and watched the movie at least a million times. In the morning I woke up looking like a mess my hair was tangled into popcorn and I had spilled my Pepsi on my dress. My worst nightmare had come true. I immediately went to shower, im a very hygienic person. While I was in the shower the doorbell rang, I obviously couldn't open the door so I just said

" Who is it?"

"its your ex Max"

I froze, I quickly got out of the shower, slipped on some clothes and opened the door for him.

"Hi" he said

"why are you here"

"take me back"

"No"

"why not"

"because you are a cheating jerk"

" Your gonna pay for that you little-"

Before he could do anything to me I slammed the door in his face and called the police. Max was trying to break in, the police finally picked up.

"hello this is the police what's wrong"

" There is a lunatic and he is trying to break into my house please help"

" we are on our way what is your address"

I told the police my address and before I knew it they were here. They took Max away in the police car, thank god for the police I would have died if they hadn't have come. A few minutes later I got a call from the police, they told me that Max was now in jail and I didn't have to worry about him coming back. I exhaled then thanked the police for everything then I decided to go to the hospital to tell John about everything. He was a bit like my diary I could tell him anything and he would listen, he wouldn't judge or be mad he would just listen and nod like he understood my crazy life.
