Mark started wiping the sweat from his forehead as the heat that the <Fire Slime> emitted made him work. He had been killing <Blobs> and <Slimes> for the past 8 hours and had just finished his latest spotting of an enemy.

In these past hours, other than the usual <Blobs> which Truck-kun had bashed before, and the two Elemental <Slimes>, he encountered two different kinds of enemies.

One of them was the <Black Ooze>, which, as its name said, was pure dark in appearance. It was a tricky foe; if Mark did more than a certain amount of damage within a specific period, the <Black Ooze> would split itself into two smaller versions. The resulted smaller versions were a bit slower and weaker than the original, but they also had that split ability, which would trigger sooner since their HP was less.

The first time he encountered one <Black Ooze>, it took him a while to figure out its ability, but fortunately, when he did, there weren't too many for him to handle.

The second new kind he encountered was the trickiest to kill but not the toughest to fight. Its name was <Air Slime>, and as expected, it had some similarities to the other Element-based <Slimes>. But this one's expertise wasn't at causing damage but running away.

It still fought, but when its HP got low, it started retreating by releasing air from one end to thrust itself in the opposite direction. Its speed was more remarkable than Mark's, so he hadn't killed one of those yet.

"You have progressed somewhat while I am gone, it seems. Let me see. "

It surprised Mark to hear the voice of Truck-kun coming out of one of his pockets, where he had the phone, which was Truck-kun's current form. It was the first time Truck-kun spoke since he took a break from its transformation into its truck form.

Mark proudly opened his [Status] for his fellow companion to check it out.

He had used any more of his <Stats Points> after level 3, as he was confident that he could handle the foes with his current stats. The only thing he lacked was offense, which could have been solved by increasing his Power, but that would be a slobby solution. That was why, with a heavy heart, he spent three <Truck Points> to learn the <Martial Art> Skill.

When he learned the Skill, it felt like he had just finished a marathon of martial art movies. Still, that didn't mean he was an expert, but he wasn't clueless either. He just had to practice that new knowledge, which, up to level 10, involved mostly punches and kicks.

But once he reached level 10, the limit of the <Apprentice State> for D-Rank Skills, and he entered the <Basic State> of it, he became aware of something else. It was specific techniques that belonged to a unique martial art—- the Trucko.

Mark had never heard of it in the past, but because of his Skill, he realized many of the teachings of that unique Martial Art. His punches significantly had increased in power, and he could swear that now and then, he could hear his truck's engine during some fights.

"Hmm… I see. Not bad, not bad. For a human, at least, you seem to not be too waste much time with this great one. But you have a long way to go, and you better save some of those <Truck Points> for a worthy <Truck Upgrade>."

Mark nodded as he had spent 3 <Truck Points> for the <Martial Art> Skill, and he had 2 left, with the one he just received. In his opinion, he could buy some <Truck Upgrades> with 2 <Truck Points>, but none seemed to be worth the cost.

"Are you better now? You were out for a long time. "

Fortunately, the phone worked as a standard phone, so Mark could use it to check the time.

"Yeah, using my power like that isn't something I can do, silly willy. But at least it worked to both our benefits somewhat. Although I have to admit that the Dungeon pulled more resistance than I thought. Have you found the Boss Room yet? "

"Boss Room? Is there a Boss in the place? "

Mark, of course, was aware of the term Boss, as it was a must for most Dungeon crawling games. However, even if this place was referred to as a <Dungeon> and there were monsters, he hadn't considered that this detail could also be actual.

"Of course there is. It is the one that controls everything, as it is the reason this place is still active. Without a Boss, a <Dungeon> can't exist as the one is tied to the other, exchanging energy when needed. "

Mark found the topic very interesting and had a few questions about it.

"So if we kill it, this place will be gone forever? This shouldn't be good in the long run, correct? "

Mark was confident that the Boss would be much higher level than the rest of the monsters in the <Dungeon>. That meant the EPXS for killing it would be more, but Mark would lose the source of EXPS that the <Dungeon> itself was.

"That is correct. That is why we should avoid the Boss, but not because it isn't profitable. As I had said before, you shouldn't bring an end to this place, as the one who created it would notice, and who knows how they will react. "

Mark nodded as he agreed there was no reason to make enemies like that. Still, he was curious about what kind of Boss existed in this place. It was probably another type of <Slime> or similar monster, by the theme of its name.

"For now, we should head back."

Truck-kun's suggestion surprised Mark, as he expected to be ordered to stay to level up as much as possible.

"You can't stay for too long in this place, as your body isn't accustomed to locations outside your realm. If you wait for long, you may even turn into a <Slime> yourself. "

Mark's eyes widened with shock as he checked his body for any changes he hadn't noticed.

"You don't need to worry yet. You need to stay at least a day here to have an effect like that. But the more you stay here, the more you need to avoid entering this place, as you need to wait first for the realm's energy that had entered your body to get weak and released. This takes time, of course, and if you reenter the place while these energies aren't completely gone can bring some unwanted side effects."

Truck-kun seemed more serious than usual as he explained the situation as clearly as possible. Even if Mark hadn't been around him for too long, he understood Tuck-kun's character somewhat. Whenever a person like that acted like that, it was indeed a serious situation.

So Mark started focusing, with the help of Truck-kun, to get back to the room he first entered the place. They faced a few <Blobs> on the way there, but Mark quickly handled them. They, unfortunately, didn't give that much exp anymore, as it seemed like Mark was not higher level than them.

One other exciting fact he had found while encountering different enemies was that there were now entries at his before empty [Journal]. Each entry was for each type of enemy he had faced, and when he pressed one, a panel appeared that looked very similar to his [Status].

It had the Stats, Skills, and some description of those creatures, but the information differed depending on how much he had faced those creatures. So it created the entry at the first encounter, and all the stats and Skills were at question marks. Then the stats would become a range of numbers, which could start as big as a couple dozen and reach a range of ten.

It also had a range of levels of that enemy, which Mark found helpful to separate the truly worthy of hunting. None of the < Blob's> levels ranges reached over five, meaning the strongest one was half of Mark's level.

<Slimes> were over level 10, with very few under that, but not by much. The range level of <Fire Slime> specifically was 12-16. But unfortunately for Mark, it seemed they were the smallest in number as he had encountered and killed only five in total during his whole time in the <Dungeon>.

It didn't take them long to find the place, as Mark had tried to make his way back to it and keep near it. After all, the monsters around that area seemed just challenging enough for his current needs.

After chanting what Truck-kun told him, which seemed similar to what he used to open the way in, another portal opened, identical to the one before.

And so Mark was back in the real world.
