Dire Call
Sprinting over to the front gate with Haman following behind, who was struggling to keep up, they reached the colossal, bronze gates that led to the city, where carriages came in at the permission of the two guards.
"Halt, traveler," one of the guards said, "What spurs such a rush from you? Is something the matter?"
The guards of Majulfan wore light-red armor with helmets that covered all but their eyes, with black capes cascading down their backs and spears in hand.
Taking the initiative in addressing the guards, Haman took out a necklace that had some sort of wooden badge of a snake's head, "I'm Haman of the Felnotica Trade Association! There is an emergency–Husks are marching towards the city!"
"Husks? Is that true?" The guard said in surprise.
Jett nodded, reinforcing the statement, "There are at least a few thousand. That's low balling it, though…humans, beasts, even flying birds–it seems like a coordinated attack on the city."
