Defense of The City
Standing there, he watched as adventurers received their magic marks–a card infused with a tracking spell that kept track of the specified enemies they eliminated–flooding out of the doors with their weapons ready and confidences high.
"Adventurer Jett Levine, you have our thanks for bringing this to our attention."
The words of gratitude came from the horned receptionist, who looked at him with a gentle smile.
He shook his head, "It was the right thing to do–no thanks needed."
"Please accept this, at least–as a foreign adventurer, you have no obligations to the city of Majulfan, yet you acted," the receptionist insisted.
What was slid across the desk to him was a bag of coins, which he hesitantly accepted, grateful for though feeling bad for taking it.
"Alright, I guess I'll take this…oh, and one of those marks, please," he said.
"You'll be participating in the emergency quest?" The horned receptionist asked in surprise.
