Scarlett also tell him that angel vessel are actually human that were turned by angels to slay demons on earth to keep the balance but john only kill those who were a threat to others and thats the reason those knights didn't try to capture kai. They knew they'll be dead as soon as they enter in that area again. Kai was very close to the evolution the reason why he didn't evolve yet is because there are only first and second tire beasts in the forest and now first tire beast is giving him only 5 Exp and Second tire 10 exp so it's difficult to level up. Kai even learned how to control his Demonic energy john tried to teach him many spells but it's not working.

He can fell the energy in his body by sitting in meditating position and focus inside of his body he can see a neon blue energy flowing in his body. Kai can't use spells this doesn't mean he can't increase his stats. John teach him martial arts but this martial art is different john told him that these are mainly designed for us cause it's almost impossible for humans to perform these moves. Kai is not a swordsman and don't have interest in learning other weapons. According to john Kai is a fast learner cause it'll take months to learn these moves but Kai knew the truth it was system he only have to practice a move many times and it'll be registered into the system the he just have to order in his head and system will do the rest.
