Chen Yuan was so cold he could become a grandchild, and these clothes couldn't be worn anymore. On his way here, he probably would catch a cold.
That's what Li Wei thought.
"Okay, thanks a lot,"
Chen Yuan responded with a smile.
"Then do you maybe..." She stopped mid-sentence, glanced back at the dilapidated apartment building, then said no more.
"It's okay, I'll just wait here," Chen Yuan said.
"Alright, I'll be right back." With that, Li Wei, holding the clothes, entered the dark corridor of the apartment building and then climbed up the noisy iron staircase to the third floor.
Upon opening the door, she was met with a very narrow room that was dimly lit. Turning on the light, the first thing she saw was a double bed and a hard desk beside it, piled with documents.
The semi-open kitchen and a small toilet with a glass door facing the bed were all packed in a space uncomfortably close – there was no sense of layout whatsoever.
