Chapter 13: Vampire bloodline and Rankings.

Justin with Ethan, Cathrine and Adolfo reached his home. Justin's parents had both died in a car accident when he was just 3 years old, because of this reason he was taken in by his grandparents . His grandfather was a good friend of caretaker of orphanage where Ashok spent his childhood. He went there to meet him a lot of times, he also took Justin with him. This way Ashok and Justin became friends.

Justin's grandmother died soon after he entered high school, hence he was the only one living with his grandfather.

Justin's grandfather was waiting for them to arrive.

as they arrived he made Justin go to the convenience store and buy groceries.

Ethan, Cathrine and Adolfo were siting next to one another on the couch Justin's grandfather came and sat in front of them.

" So why did my brother send you here" he asked the trio.

Ethan replied" Luther von Stein, we are here on our grandfather Vincent von stein' s order to check up on how you are doing"

"Is that so" Luther said in a dissing tone. " My brother is finally caring about my well being, you don't need to lie I already know what you are here for, and the only reason why I let you in here is because I have nothing to hide, you want to know whether my grand child has vampire blood or not"

Ethan and Cathrine were a bit ashamed but still listened to Luther.

" Justin is a normal human, his father's blood was suppressed by me so he never truly became a vampire and his son that is Justin does not have vampire blood"

Ethan and Cathrine had already guessed this much after just looking at Justin.

Cathrine asked " what about the sword sage? "

" He is still fine, he is just like me is living a common life" replied Luther in a calm manner.

" You must be from a werewolf bloodline. your aura is strong, you are a grand master level strong"

" Yes, your majesty" replied Adolfo.

Luther sighed and said in a calm voice" Tell my brother that he has nothing to gain from me nor my descendant " he released a bit of his aura and said in a threatening manner " leave us be or he would have to face the wrath of two sages"

Ethan ,Cathrine and Adolfo were scared of there life, even though they knew that he wouldn't kill them but still they thought that if this person wants the whole noble family of vampires dead, the vampire family would cease to exist.

Even though his grandfather is also a sage but according to the records, there is no comparison between his grandfather and Luther von Stein.

They were sent here by Vincent to confirm whether his brother had descendants.

Unlike Vincent ,Luther had purer blood than him and his descendants would also inherit his blood, even though being of same generation that is 3rd generation he was stronger. so he thought that his brother may create a different vampire organization and try to overtake his ruling.

The difference between the strength of vampires are based on their blood ranks and these can be cultivated which means through practice and cultivation the rank can be upgraded.

The ranks are as follows : Common, Knight, Baron, Viscount, Count, Earl, Marquees, Duke, and King. There also exist another rank called as 'noblesse'. which is neither higher nor equal to the rank of king but holds the power to suppress the king, not much is known about it.

The speed of cultivation and the strength still depends on talent, those who have talent are given when in same rank will have more power than their opponents.

The direct descendants of the progenitors have inherently higher talents rather than the branched vampires born of crossbred between human and vampire.

The fastest way to increase the blood rank is to absorb a blood crystal. Blood crystals are formed inside the bodies of vampires and contains the essence of their blood.

The higher ranked vampire has oppression on lower ranked vampires, which basically means that a lower ranked vampire will not be able to beat a higher ranked vampire, but there are exceptions, the purer blooded vampire may not fall under oppression, it may be weaker and in some cases it does not exist, but it still does have it's limits as it will not nullify the oppression of a twice higher and above rank vampires.

There still exists a risk of exploding by absorbing blood crystals. Therefore not many vampires dare to do it. The other way to improve the rank is to just age more, vampires rank up the more they are old, talent also plays a role in it, as for those with talent will rank up faster. Vampires are practically immortal, but are easy to kill if of lower rank.

Direct descendants of progenitors, as well as those who are descendants of descendants of progenitors who come in a noble ranking may be born as a higher ranking vampire.

This was the case for Catharine as she was born as a Baron rank and is now ranked Count. Ethan was born as a knight and is now a Baron. Though as not much talented as his sister but he is still considered talented if compared to other vampires. Both of the are only 20 years old and are of Count and Baron rank, which normally would have taken 150-300 years.

Other bloodlines also have ranking same as that of vampires and they also follow the same logic but the only thing which is different is the cultivation method.

Justin had come back from shopping, he went in and started preparing the meal. He had noticed a awkward environment in the room, he had known for a while that his grandfather had a conflict with his brother but he did not know the reason.

He just let it be as he didn't want to get into the past of his grandfather.

" We have already confirmed what we wanted to know, what to do now shall we go back" said Ethan.

" Well you are right, the boy who was with Justin seems to be related to sword sage as he is also a human martial artist, but still there was something weird in him, it's like he is stronger than us" Cathrine fell into thought.

" You are right, the time we met in the airport I felt oppression from him, he is at least stronger than me, he may even be related to werewolf bloodline" said Adolfo in a serious tone.

" I still don't get why grandfather sent us here, it's quite obvious that Luther von Stein won't make any organization as he has been unambitious " said Ethan in a crude manner.

" whatever the reason may be, our job here is done we would return back to E country tomorrow and make our report" said Cathrine.

Ashok had came back to his dormitory,

" Today was a eventful day as well, meeting vampire, werewolf, and a grandmaster. doesn't this mean that Justin's grandfather is also a vampire, this should also make Justin a vampire as well"

" System do you know anything about Justin being vampire"

[ ding.... Justin has vampire blood but it's not awakened, it seems that someone may have suppressed his fathers blood because of which his blood also got suppressed, but this suppression has may be a good thing as when his blood would awaken it has chances of surpassing the parent blood]

" ohh can awakening be done artificially "

[ ding.... host can buy bloodline awakening card for 5000 prestige points and use it to forcefully awaken Justin's bloodline ]

" I don't think this method is good, I think Justin doesn't know anything about his grandfather and cousins being vampire. His grandfather may have had a good reason to hide it from him so intervening in his family matter is something I shouldn't do, ohhh I wish even I could be vampire, how cool would that have been"

Ashok opened the mall, to find it had variety of bloodlines, but all had 'progenitor' written on them and the minimum price of bloodline started from 50,000. All the bloodlines had three versions available 'progenitor' ,'origin' and 'chaos'. currently on the system screen the 'origin' and 'chaos' option were grey meaning it couldn't be used and didn't even show description.

" It's not that much, I can still buy a bloodline if I save my prestige points, I can't wait to become a vampire, I would be like Count Dracula flying in my bat form, and when I have enough money I may even buy a castle of my own" Smirked Ashok thinking of this

Ashok checked his emails, and found that he had been contacted by the platform on which he was writing his novel, they wanted to meet Ashok to discuss about him being a contracted author. Ashok didn't want to become a contracted author as it would limit a lot of his work because he may even be forced to write on a daily basis.

But his novel was so popular that people were demanding a hard copy book to be printed and be published. Because of this reason he had agreed to meet them at a Cafe in the Shopping district of city D.
