He stopped turning the handle mid-way and turned around to speak to her; "I would still advise against that. Cops early on the scene? That will mess up the timeline."
Her brows creased as she regurgitated his words with a strange and doubtful tone; "The timeline?"
He did not answer her query but instead asked; "Are you not going to grab your coat?"
Looking down at the coat she had failed to notice when he had picked up upon entering his room, she exhaled deeply and said; "Do not leave me behind."
He merely nodded as he answered; "Sure, no problem. I will wait for you."
Feeling satisfied with her younger brother's reassurance, she turned around and made a dash towards the stairs that led downstairs.
Watching her retreating figure, he thought' 'Running like that, she better not trip or get injured.'
His gaze went down to his hand as his phone vibrated.
