Chapter 10: Meeting An Old Friend

I woke up with a sore right arm and after opening my eyes the first thing I saw was half raised Olivia, staring directly at me with her arms leaning on my chest.

"Good morning."

"A...Alexander? Wha.. What are you doing in here?"

Obliviously she was still half asleep and didn't know what was happening, but it only took a little while for her expression to change.

From shock to embarrassment, probably recalling everything that occurred yesterday.

Knowing that this silence couldn't continue, Olivia put on a serious expression and started to talk.

"Alexander, what happened between us yesterday was a mistake. We both should forget about it and pretend it never took place."

With Olivia waiting for my answer, I didn't hesitate before replying.

"No."

"Good that you agree, we can't tell anything to your sisters and... Wait, what did you just say?"

"I said no. I won't forget about last night. I don't think it was a mistake and never will."

"But.. Why?" Olivia clearly wasn't able to comprehend my answer.

"How could I pretend it didn't happen? After seeing you cry, my heart nearly broke into pieces. I felt rage building up inside me while thinking that someone hurt you.....Then our kiss, full of passion and feelings we had for each other."

Hearing all of this Olivia tried to open her mouth to say something, but I didn't let her wanting to finish my words.

"When I heard about that son of a bitch and what he did to you, I understood one thing. I want to protect you for the rest of my life and give you love you wasn't able to experience."

Letting lose of my accumulated feeling was harder that I thought. So I closed my eyes, scared of being rejected.

Olivia's thoughts

(He really did change...hmm... Now he can even show this kind of expression.)

(Why won't she answer?) with each passing moment I was getting more anxious.

Suddenly, I felt something warm on my lips.

After opening my eyes, I saw Olivia kissing my lips with tears in her eyes.

Seeing this I froze in place, not being able to register what just happened.

Olivia feeling this, ended her kiss and looked me deep in the eyes.

"Alexander, you need to take full responsibillity for your words."

With that sentence, I felt a tremendous weight lift off my shoulders and pure joy took it's place.

Immediately I took Olivia in my arms and whispered in her ear "I never thought otherwise."

Finally we let go of one another, with me saying "I just said that seeing you cry breaks my heart, and instead of avoiding it I just made you cry."

"Hahahah...Alexander you can be so silly sometimes.. Hahaha.."

While having breakfast me and Olivia were behaving like teenagers in love.

We were sneaking glances at each other and turning our heads as soon as one of us saw what the other was doing.

This only stopped when Amelia smacked the table, and said "Can you two tell me what's is going on?"

"Nothing, we.. We were just playing a game." replied ashamed Olivia.

Trying to back her up, I added "Yes, we were trying to see who will catch other staring."

(What a stupid lie.) Olivia didn't want Mira and the rest to know about our relationship, at least for now.

It's not like we doing something illegal or forbidden. Marriages with family members are allowed in this world, with only small amount of people disagreeing.

But, people that made this law are strong enough to kill anyone that opposite them without even blinking.

So, on the surface everyone agrees with this decision.

And it's not like they did it because of some sick fantasy. Children born from this sort of couples can possess stronger magical power or desired type of magic, inherited from their parents.

Of course chances of this desired result is very low, otherwise our society would have fallen a long time ago.

Other thing worth mentioning is fact that mana cleanses our bodies preventing any genetic defects from occurring. So, there's no real downsides to this sort of relationship.

(I wonder how would Mom react if I told her about my plans of making all of my sisters, my women.) with this thought out of the way, I started to wash the dishes. It was a punishment form supposedly 'losing' in the staring game.

After I was done with the dishes, I decided to go for a run around the neighborhood. As a way to calm my mind and explore this new world.

Straping my boots on was the last thing I did before kissing Olivia on her forehead and saying my goodbyes to Amelia, who like always acted cold and Mira who avoided my line of sight while repling to me.

(Every one of them is so different, but that makes it more exciting.)

Right as this thought crossed my mind, I opened the front door and was greeted by a beautiful sight of a sunny day.

My first destination was a nearby park, I choose this location because it appeared a lot in past Alexander's memories.

He sort of hold emotinal attatchment to that place. First of all it was a very relaxing place, full of nature and couple of enterneining places, like a river or small forset that every child loves to play in.

The other reason why Alexander had such a bond with this park wasn't that nice. It was the favorite place of his bullies, to torture him almost every single day.

Arriving at park entrance confirmed my previous information. I saw green all around me, with bushes, trees and different kinds of flowers.

"This world is truly wonderful."

Just when I was about to take off and start running, something interrupted my plans.

Or I should say someone. A guy my age, slim with long blonde hair and grin on his feminine looking face.

(I didn't expect to run into one of them so fast. What was his name again?.... I can't quite remember, I will call him Minion1.)

Minion1 was part of Derek's group. He would be in the same situation as Alexander, if not for his rich dad.

He was usually sponsoring Derek's parties and other events, earning him rights to hang out with him.

When he noticed me, I saw him move in my direction.

(This will be fun.)

Soon, he stood in front of me and said with his annoying voice.

"Look who's here, our little pet."

Faking my ignorance, I pointed at my face and said "Are you talking about me? I think the title of 'little pet' matches you better."

"What did you just said?" Minion1 answered with vein popping out on his forehead.

"Ooo, Sorry. I didn't specify, I'm talking about your slender body and long hair. I'm sure that Derek loves to play with both."

"You..You..You...DIE!" with those words, Minion1 punched in my direction.

(What a surprise, Minion1 doesn't like the truth.)

Seeing his fist aimed at my face, I easily blocked his punch and counter attacked right away.

I grabbed his outstretched arm and brought it behind his back, breaking it in half.

With him screaming out in pure agony, I began my next assault. This time kicking him in the back of his knee, making him kneel down.

Looking down at him was satisfying, but I didn't have enough yet.

I raised my hand up and swung down with full force, slapping his face.

First slap made him cough out blood.

Second one made him lose three teeth.

And just when I raised my hand for the third slap, to finish the job. I heard someone shout out behind me.

"Stop it, criminal!"
