Chapter 34: The Royal Ball
“Good Evening,” King Lucas’ voice booms over the room. It was already silent before but even the Castle staff have stopped to watch.
“I wanted to say a few words to start the evening rather than interrupt the festivities later,” Lucas starts, and the crowd chuckles. Lucas shines his smile over everyone and I can’t help but grin as I watch him.
“Thank you all for being here today to celebrate Queen Amanda and I’s 6th month anniversary. We appreciate each and every one of you for taking time out of your schedule to be here with us on such a joyous occasion.
Queen Amanda has been the biggest blessing in my life and I hope that she knows it. Though we suffered a short engagement and a short honeymoon, I could not be happier with where we are today. It feels like our honeymoon will never end.
