Artia being quite direct with her answer was quite the unusual for me. Heck! Everything was so unusual in the plane of minds! What is even happening?! Am I even still proceeding with the trial? Did the trial even begin? Is there even a trial to begin with?!
"Now become your mother's meal." Artia said next, after she had revealed the fact that all of her previous words were lies.
While Artia said so, a whirl of barely visible shadow gathered a few ten meters in front of me, which soon shaped itself into the figure of hers. To my surprise, she wasn't just a silhouette to me anymore, because I was actually capable of seeing her.
'Is it because I'm immortal now?' I wondered, and could only do so for a bit, since it wouldn't be long before she decides to kill me.
Sadly, I couldn't ponder about her beauty, because I had to remain alert for an attack. God or not, I had a shimmer of hope to make it out alive. That's why I didn't even think of faltering in front of the goddess.
