Ice Cream

Of course, it's Liam. How can I refuse my favourite ice cream given by my ultimate crush? Yes, I did! I took it, I even said thanks! I felt better too and I invited him to have dinner with us. I know, I'm shameless. If it were you? What will you do? Tsk. Come on, be honest!

We had our dinner and my parents asked him where he lives and what he does and his age, which school he goes to. He he he… I want that information and my mum let me have them, amazing parents, that's why I love them to bits. Then my mum asked him how we met. I have to interfere. "We are doing jobs at the post office. I told you about it. He works there too."

My parents looked at each other and nodded with a smile. Liam looked at me in disagreement. I'm pretty sure he wanted to tell them the full story. I am not having it!

We continued to eat our dinner. After food, it's my duty to clean the table and wash the dishes. Today, I have a helper. He gathered all the plates and place them in the sink. We have a dishwasher but I decided to show off. I took the gloves and the brush for the plates. I started to wash them carefully and slowly like those plates are special gems that needed protecting.

Again, I heard him laughed. "Keep it up, you'll be finished by tomorrow morning."

He is so damn cruel! So I decided to wash them fast. Yep, that's right! I broke our plate. Liam rushed over to me and asked me if I'm okay. Well, I'm not hurt, it's just I broke our plate and my mum won't be happy about it.

It's our house but he did all the cleaning of the broken plate and he washed the dishes too. 'That's my man!' I thought and I grinned proudly. I'm daydreaming again about our future. I didn't realise he was finished with everything and was staring at me.

"Are we gonna have your ice cream for dessert? Or you will eat it by yourself?"

That woke me up from my beautiful daydream. "Aren't you going home? It's half past seven already! "

He looked at me but he looked sad as if I did something to upset him. He walked back to the living room and thank my parents for the delicious meal and said his goodbyes. Of course, I chased him. You all know he walks fast. So I just went to my room and lie down on my bed.

Are you curious about the details I know about him? Well, he is 2 years older than me, he goes to Edgewood College and his family just moved here six months ago which I already know.

Sunday, the post office is shut. I remembered my bag, my phone is inside my bag and my bag is inside the post office. Phoneless for a day can be a good thing, we should think that way sometimes then it will be fine. In my case, it's a blessing in disguise.

I went to have a walk heading to the park. On my way there, I saw Liam and his friends playing football in the nearby field. So I stopped by to watch them play. Of course, my Liam is good at football, he is the best! He scored a goal and I cheered for him with all the clapping and shouting his name. His friends looked at me and they teased him. They are all sweaty but I'm sure my Liam still smells good. I saw him said goodbye to his friends and he walked to me. "Do you want a drink?" he asked while he grabbed his bag.

Who am I to refuse such offer, "Of course," I replied. We went to the store across the field and he bought two lucozade and handed me the other one. "Going somewhere?" he asked again. "I'm just having a walk and maybe go to the park." My sweetest smile immediately came on my face. He nodded but he didn't look at me.

We talked as we walked, we didn't realise that we reached the park. We sat down on the swing and we continued to talk. He asked me some stuff like, how's school, what time do I go home or leave home to go to school. To me, it sounded like he just wanted to talk about something so we will not have an awkward silence.

I don't have to try to be cheerful because I am that kind of person already, it's just the way I am. Since he asked me a random question, I figured I should ask too. So I grinned at him.
