Frustration
"I will not do it again. I'm sorry, I just thought… I'm wrong. I'll go home first then." he then left and he never looked back.
In my bedroom, I kept on thinking. I totally forgot about James. My head was filled with what happened today. 'What does he mean? He was wrong about what?' "Aaaaaarrrrggghhhh!!!!" I pulled my hair as I got so frustrated.
'I like Liam a lot, but it seems like I'm not ready for him.' I sighed. "Does he like me too? How about Liza?" I looked at my phone and there's a message from James. "What happened? You didn't message me?"
"Im sorry, was held up a little. Still up?"
After five minutes, he replied. "Yeah, can't sleep. I was going to confess to the girl I like earlier, but I think I was turned down."
"Wat?!? 4 real? She sux then! U dont deserve sum1 like her!"
"Don't say that. By far, she's the best girl I've ever met. I will wait for her until she is old enough to accept me."
"Woah! So loyal! Come 2 me & ill accept u :) ull find out im better dan her."
"Probably! So what held you up?"
"Dat, lets not talk about it. Maybe next time."
"Im off 2 bed now txt u 2moro gudnyt"

I sent him three messages one after the other and I went to bed.
Next day, Liam came and we walked again together. While we were walking, he told me that he will stop working at the post office. He was hired at the cafe near Edgewood College and that he will be moving to a dorm near there too so he will be closer to school.
I couldn't say anything. I don't know what to say. I want to stop him. But how? I'm no one in his life. "When are you leaving?" 'Damn! Did I just ask him that? He might take it the wrong way.'
"Next week I'm moving to my dorm. But tomorrow, I won't be able to walk with you or pick you up from school. I'll be home late too."
I just nodded. I tried to gather my strength and forced a smile, "That's okay! When I go there you should treat me for a coffee." I winked at him to cheer the mood up.
He just smiled a little, "Of course, be sure to visit."
We separated when his bus came. I continued to walk to school.
I went to work at the post office as usual, but this time, no Liam. I don't want to work there anymore. So I told Mr Phillips that I have to stop working so I can focus on my exams. He said okay and everything was fine.
One week has passed. We haven't seen each other for a week. I really miss him. But James was more active than before. He never failed to text me in the morning at lunchtime and in the afternoon after school.
I told James that my birthday is coming soon. I invited him but he said he will be away that day. But he said he will definitely message me on my birthday to send his birthday greeting and wishes for me.
Two weeks now, still no Liam, my Saturday and Sundays are boring. First, it was Liza, now it's Liam, who's next? My birthday is coming and I have no one.
It's my birthday today. James was the first one to greet me at 12 midnight saying, "Happy Birthday Skye. I wish you happiness."
"Is dat it?"
"Why are you awake? It's late."
"It's my bday, im allowed."
"I'm going to bed now, I'll message you in the morning"
"Gudnyt!"
"I wonder if Liam knows my birthday? Will he come if he knows? Does he even think about me? Do I even cross his mind?" I sighed, 'Probably not,' with that thought, I went to bed.
My mum greeted me and gave me my birthday present. Dad has his own gift for me as well. Since it's Saturday, I'm having my party at our house. I invited some of my friends from school and Liza.
It was 5 PM when Liza came, Joey followed and so are my other friends. We were having fun, we chatted and laughed at Joey's jokes. We sang songs from our Symphony Grandvideoke machine. Joey has a great voice and sang five songs already, it doesn't seem like he will stop anytime soon.
Then it was time to sing a birthday song for me and of course, Joey led them. It's time to blow the candle and for my birthday wish. I closed my eyes, 'I wish for Liam to be here and wish me a happy birthday. That's all I want this year.' and I blew the candle and I smiled after.
