First Night

I settled in well on my first day and met Kayla and Andy when they got home from work. We ate together and chatted for a little bit. Liam didn't introduce me as his girlfriend, he actually didn't say anything. I don't know if I'm waiting for that or what, but I felt disappointed.

We all went in the living space and continued to chat there while Liam washed the dishes. Apparently, they have a rule in the house that we will take turns in washing dishes and cleaning the common areas. Anyway, as I sat on the couch, Andy sat beside me and started to chat with me as if he was interested in me.

Kayla chuckled, "Mr playboy's at it again. Watch out Summer. Don't fall for his sweet words. They are toxic." she sighed and told us that she will go to bed.

Andy kept on telling me that I look really pretty, and he hopes that we can be close. He told me he's 18 years old and taking biochemistry. He also mentioned that he works at Yo Sushi for a part-time job and he invited me to have a meal there when I'm free. To be honest, he is quite funny and really chatty, I felt very comfortable with him. Our conversation just went on and on until I heard Liam's cough.

"I'm going to bed, you should too. We'll start early tomorrow and don't be lazy around." he seemed angry again when I didn't do anything wrong, but I don't care.

Though he said he was going to bed, he was still standing there, 'What is he waiting for?' I thought, so I looked at him, "Aren't you going to bed?"

He didn't reply, instead, he gave me the evil eye and went to his room. Andy and I continued our chat and he was really fun making me laugh. I'm trying not to laugh so loud as it 's getting late at night and I don't want to disturb Kayla and Liam.

Around 10 o'clock when I said goodnight to Andy who doesn't seem to be tired at all. I left him there in the living room and went to have a wash in the bathroom.

After changing my clothes to my loose shirt, I lie down and boy I slept like a log.

My alarm set off at 6:30 AM, knowing me, of course, I didn't budge. I went back to sleep. The second alarm set off at 6:45, I just turned it off. Before my third alarm rang, there was a knock on my door. "No school today, it's the holidays." I murmured and the person on the door obviously cannot hear it.

The next thing I saw when I opened my eyes was Liam staring at me. "Are you really like this in the morning?" His face was somewhat strict, worse than my mum when she's trying to wake me up.

I don't know when or how he got in but seeing him like that, made me move suddenly and I fell down the bed due to shock. "Liam! What are you doing here? This is my room!"

"You forgot?" With furrowed brows.

"Forgotten what?"

He stared at me, "We are gonna be late Summer. Stop playing and get going!" He then left after that.

I went to the bathroom and saw myself in the mirror. 'Jesus mother mary of god! I look like shit. No bra too. No wonder he looked at me like that. But I like wearing this loose shirt. So comfy.' I shrugged it off and went to take a shower. Got myself ready and went to have breakfast. Liam was there eating some toast.

"Where are they?" I asked him.

"Asleep." He paused, "They go to work in the afternoon."

I nodded and asked again, "Is this for me?" Pointing at the toast with butter and strawberry jam.

He gave me a simple nod followed by, "Hurry up, we will be late."

'Why is he like that? I don't understand him at all! He is mean to me at times and sweet at the same time.' Early thoughts for my head. I have to ask him to clear some questions in my head, "Uhm, Liam, what are we?" Then I bit my toast as if my question is just a casual one.

He looked at me fascinated and gulped his tea. Before he could answer me, Andy opened his door and greeted us good morning and went straight to the bathroom as he yawned.

"We have to go now." He stood up and carried his bag not looking back or waiting for me.

I quickly grabbed my shoulder bag and ran to catch up with him. Him being tall, his strides are big. "Why on earth is he walking so fast now." As I catch my breath while kept on running at the same time.
