CHAPTER 16: Martin's Order

Eduard picked up the dagger on the hand of the unconscious scout.

After picking the dagger, he use it to stab the back of the unconscious man, pointing to his heart.

His mood was now gloomy, if he is not careless enough this won't happen.

"Sigh, I wish to be more stronger" he whispered on his self.

He regrets that he let the man create noise when he twisted his wrist.

Fortunately, the commotion was not loud enough, alerting the people inside the cave.

He just needed to deal with the two alerted scouts on the tree.

When he feels that the scout on the ground was dead, he pulled out the dagger on its body to prepare himself in meeting the other scouts.

The other dagger that the scout thrown to him recently was also pulled out by him on the body of the tree. He will use this daggers to throw, on the two incoming enemies.

Estimating the power of this person's, they should be averaging in 4th to 6th tier Iron level warrior.

The man that he fought earlier was on the sixth tier . Possibly, he can deal with the two coming enemies if they were on the same level.

The other two scouts had reach his location. The two were wondering about the source of commotion, when they reach the place.

They were shocked to see a young man standing on the site. They decrease their vigilance and scan the body of the young man.

It didn't take long for them to notice the dagger on Eduard's hand. It will not catch their attention if it is just a simple dagger.

The dagger was quite familiar to them. It was the same as the dagger they used on their pocket.

There are traces of fresh blood in one of the daggers. This sight alerted the two.

"Who are you?" ask by the man who is nearest to Eduard. He was pulling out a dagger on his pocket while asking, it was the same as the daggers on the hand of Eduard.

The other guy on back was wandering his sight around. He is looking for something.

When his sight fell on the corpse lying on the ground, he was shocked and anger rose from his cheek. He warned his companion

"Louise careful, that young man kill Vic"

The bandit scout that named Louise was shocked hearing the warning from his companion.

He wandered around his sight to the direction where his companion looked at, hewas stunned when he saw the corpse of their member lying on the ground.

While the nearest scout to Eduard was stunned, Eduard on the other side use this opportunity to attack the two.

He throw the dagger on his both hand to the two. His target was their heart.

Their distance was around 15 meters away, the daggers can easily reach the target in a short period of time.

The dagger hit the chest of the man named Louise, he look at Eduard after seeing the dagger that was piercing his chest.

He want to say something but blood splurged on his mouth, enabling him to talk.

Regrets was visible on his eyes while his eyes was slowly closing.

The man slowly falls on the ground.

On the other hand, the other scout on the back was able to deflect the incoming dagger.

He was late to warn his companion since he is also shocked to the sudden attack of Eduard.

"Hmmp, you kill two of our bandit members. Once our bandit group learned who you are, we are going to eradicate you and all of the people around you" he said, trying to intimidate Eduard.

After he deflected the dagger, he knows that the man in front was not a simple guy. The power from the daggers that he throw, makes his hand turn numb.

The power was equivalent to 8th Tier Iron Level Warrior. If he fought this young man, death was only his end, with his cultivation on 5th tier Iron.

Eduard smirked, "Oh really?, You can try, but I will kill you first".

Eduard dashed at full speed on the man. He was holding the short sword with his both hand, aiming the blade to the man's chest.

The man was trembling with the speed of Eduard, he knows that he can't get away to this situation. His only choice was to hold the dagger on his hand, close to his body.

Eduard noticed that the man dagger was positioned on his chest. He knows that this man was trying to protect his heart.

Unfortunately, Eduard changed his blade trajectory from chest to the mans neck. The man has no time to react, leaving only a shocked expression.

The blade cleanly cut through his neck, the head of the man falls on the ground without making a sound.

Eduard was also catching his breath after, he exerted his body full power. He inserted qi on his legs, arousing all his leg muscle, resulting to his leg burst of speed.

The battle was quick, but it put a lot of strain on his body. He wanted to quickly end the battle to avoid creating commotion.

Eduard looted the bodies of his enemies. Sadly, only their weapons were valuable.

His angered rose on his heart, he discovered that this bunch of bandits' were poor.

"I will loot your entire group next time" he said it like bidding farewell to the corpses.

He started to create his fake trails to mislead the group.

Near at the East Forest entrance

Dencio was now running wildly on the forest. He was heading to the guard post on Eduard's territory.

He also heard when Eduard started to create commotion. He wanted to rescue him, but he has no strength to defy his Lord order.

When the the two people that he is observing started to move out, he also runs immediately to the opposite direction.

He needed to follow Eduard's order. He used the path way of the bandits to avoid leaving traces that will lead to their camp.

Right now, he just exited the East forest and running to the post.

At the same time, Knight Captain Martin was present on Guard post.

He switched with the man on duty earlier, together with the assigned kid as a messenger.

While looking from a far, he noticed a man that tirelessly running to their post. At first he was vigilant and ready to pull out the bow on their post.

But when the image was clearing in his sight, he realized that this man was Dencio. He is sweating a lot with a worried expression in his face.

Martin's Frowned, he is looking for the presence of Eduard around.

He learned this afternoon that the two were investigating a human activities at the forest from the two knights that came back earlier.

Dencio stop running and started to catch his breath. There are already no sweat appearing on his body from his non-stop running.

Martin met him at the entrance, "where is the Lord, why are you the only one that came back?" He asked.

"T-the L-Lord was left on the forest, dealing with the bandit..." Dencio was not able to continue his words easily, it was due to his throat that was already drying.

Anger rose from the heart of Martin, hearing the words of Dencio. He wanted to slash this guy.

"Why did you left the lord? You are a knight, you should be the one to hold up the enemy of him. Why are you the first one to run in times of danger?" He asked in a scolding tone.

Dencio was intimidated to Knight Captain Martin, the aura of Bronze Warrior spilt out on Martin's body.

He is afraid that if he did not continue his narration and narrate it properly, he will be divided into two by Martin.

"Wa-wait, the Lord orders said that I have to immediately run to the guard post once we are discovered, it is to warn you guys to increase the security. Bandits may come at anytime if things turn bad" He immediately explained it in one go.

Martin calmed down after hearing Dencio's explanation, there was traces of worries left in his face.

"How is the Lord when you left?" Martin asked.

"Well, I am not sure. Base on the Lord Eduard words, he was confident enough to fight them head on. He said that he will redirect their attention to the other side if ever we are discovered" he weakly responded.

Dencio was still afraid that he may trigger the anger of Knight Captain Martin at any moment.

"Okay, I understood"

He turned back inside the post and pick up a pen and paper.

Manny on the side was just quite. He was waiting for any order from Knight Captain Martin.

Manny was one of the three kids assigned by Eduard to work as a messenger on the guard post. He was together with Knight Captain Martin when he started his duty.

Martin finished writing on the paper. He put down the pen and folded it.

"Manny come here, deliver this letter to the young miss Estrella" Knight Captain Martin handed the letter to Manny.

Manny received the letter and nodded, specifying that he understood the order.

" You also need to visit the barracks, Immediately informed the Knights that are resting to come here. " Knight Captain Martin added.

"Yes, Captain" Manny saluted and take his leave.

"I hope the Lord is safe" Knight Captain Martin sighed while holding his forehead.

It was great loss for them if something may happen to Eduard. He wished that he was the one on his side at that time, to be able to protect him.

Even if they were not under the Ruler's Command Skill of Eduard, they will still follow his every orders unconditionally.

All of this knights were grateful to him, just from giving them an opportunity to get stronger. So they are willing to sacrifice themselves for him.
