Meanwhile, Wang Yi-An walked down the hallway with Yang Tian-Xu beside her with Assistant Tseng trailing behind them. Yang Tian-Xu wanted to know more about Wang Yi-An, so he engaged her in a brief conversation. It was bare, he would call for questions, and she would respond, “I heard you have a photographic memory.”
"Yes." a simple replied.
Straightforward, shy, and simple is her personality; this is who she is. Hates engaging in uncalled conversations, and she avoids meaningless conversations as much possible. It always embarrassed her when she spoke to strangers. With the way she answered him, Yang Tian-Xu felt hopeless. If he didn't ask her, she won't talk to him. But there's a question he wanted to asked her, bottled up inside him for two weeks, it took courage to ask her, “How Old Are You?”
“22.” She answered him. She thought it was unnecessary for him to ask about her age.
There was a disappointment in his eyes when he heard her giving simple-straightforward answers. He felt like she did not desire to start a conversation with him. Hence he didn't follow up.
Yang Tian-Xu has a million questions to ask her. He wants to know her better, but he doesn’t want to make her feel overwhelmed, or uncomfortable and stay with a childlike question. He stopped questioning her and felt gratified because he now knows one more thing about her he did not before.
Yang Tian-Xu could have never guessed what Wang Yi-An was thinking, but he desires he could give her the impression he is a decent and friendly man. It was a pity for him that her picture of him was nonexistent. “Why is he asking me so many obvious questions? Isn’t all this information on my resume?” She kept her thoughts to herself, and if he knew what she was thinking about him. Yang Tian-Xu might feel heartbroken.
Assistant Tseng ponders, “Just how often do President Yang care so much about an intern, that he had asked her so many questions? Was it because he had missed out on the interview? Or perhaps because Wang Yi-An has such a rare talent it intrigued him?”
Yang Tian-Xu told her what he expects from an intern, and it was uncomplicated. “Just do your best, and if there are questions, don’t feel trouble coming to me for advice.”
Wang Yi-An nodded her head as she stated, “Yes, thank you.” They continued walking until they contacted the General Manager division.
The Yang Corps seventh floor has many offices division. Each division works on a different project with different clients. This division; where he assigned Wang Yi-An to has about seven to eight workstations and three office rooms, and a modest meeting room. This division of floor seven looks very similar to the rest of the divisions on the same floor.
Their first day together was nerve-wracking for Yang Tian-Xu, after pulling a stunt like that. Grabbing onto her arms and telling her, “I like You.” Although he quickly recovers from it, however. Deep inside his heart, those words are his true feelings.
“This is your workstation.” He stated as he pointed to the desk. The desk was simply outside of the General Manager office. If he glanced outside, he could watch her with no vision obstruction.
“But isn’t someone already sitting there?” She asked, as she looks at the desk and there are clear signs that this desk is in fact occupied. It looked obvious who was sitting there, Assistant Tseng Kuan-Yin, he had a picture of him and his wife on the table. Although, it was only his temporary workstation.
It was both their temporary workstations. Their real offices is upstairs and twice the size. But, there were lots of projects and work to take care of in the seventh floor, they had to moved into these offices and desks until President Yang can hire a new General Manager and secretary.
The secretary, Ms Mo was a victim of the missing plane. People named the plane, Medaria before it took off, hoping for a safe return. She boarded the plane with the General Manager, Jiang Fei as the secretary. Their objective was to attend a business meeting in a foreign country on behalf of Yang Corps. But, the plane disappeared, tragic because she was only 23 years old.
So, President Yang Tian-Xu had to used Manager Jiang's office temporary, while Assistant Tseng used Ms Mo's secretary desk.
“Assistant Tseng will move back up to the eighth floor, don't worry he has his own office there which is much bigger than a small secretary desk.”
When Assistant Tseng heard he has to move all his documents and belonging back upstairs, he was not too happy about it.
"What has gotten into you? Boss? Are you going to kick me back upstairs? Dozen of work in this department, Boss, who will serve you?" He thought in silent as he wanted to cry while he packed up his belongings.
While Assistant Tseng was packing up, Yang Tian-Xu told him. “Assistant Tseng, once you're done. I would like you to help An-An settles in, help her out as much as possible.” He twisted his body to face Wang Yi-An and told her, “If there is any question don’t be afraid to come ask me for help. I will be in my office.” And so he quickly rushes off into his office.
They could witness him run into the office and got on his computer as he types away. Inconceivable for them to know what he was typing. It seemed like he was working, however, when he was on the computer to type out business contract proposal, a bunch of cases, that spelled, “WANG YI-AN” repeatedly appeared, obvious his heart was fluttered, he was in shock for a moment, then as he looked up he notices and stop. Quickly, he wiped out the words.
Subsequently, when he saw her two weeks ago, he had never stopped thinking about her. Now he had known her, he wanted to see her every single day. He now and then looked out the window and watched her getting settled into her desk, and Assistant Tseng finishes his packing.
