Panicking

Uncle Dominic was out looking for the man that I yelled at. I shouldn't have done that. I know that now. I shouldn't have yelled at him because that made him leave, and that was bad.

What I should have done was tell Uncle Dominic that someone was there. He could have caught him and taken care of things right away. He would have been able to keep things from getting out of control like they were now.

"I ruined everything." I grabbed my head and shook it while I paced around my room.

"Miss Addie, is everything alright?" Violet asked when she saw how upset I was.

"I..I just want to be alone right now, Violet. I am sorry, but can you leave for now? I have a lot on my mind at the moment." I tried not to give her that pitiful look that I knew was on my face at the moment. All I wanted to do was make sure that I was able to think and vent my frustrations without needing to hold back with her in the room.
