**BRIAR'S POV**
It had been interesting to see all of this starting to happen right before my eyes. Nolan was helping Addie get her mind and body prepared for this memory unlocking while we all sat around her, forming a crude circle or triangle.
When the magic started to take effect, when I knew that Addie was entering her mind, I felt an intense amount of excitement and anticipation. I knew that this was going to be an amazing thing to watch. And there was going to be so much for us to learn from it.
Addie's head tilted back as the magic took effect. She seemed to be glowing slightly though, and I just knew that at any minute now, we would see what she had to say. We would learn about those other lives. Or so I thought we would.
Addie was just sitting there, with her head back. And then I noticed something else too. Nolan had taken her hand. He was holding onto her and speaking soothing words.
