Don't you dare apologize

"Sly is waiting for you downstairs." Pop placed her hand on my shoulder, "you need to go down and calm his spirit. That man is madly worried about you."

"Do you think he will forgive me for what I did?"

I wasn't sure about that.

"Did you do anything wrong?" She ruffled my hair, "come on, you don't have to worry. My brother is worried about you." Pop took my hand in hers, and helped me to rise from the ground where I was sitting.

"You don't think he's mad at me?"

"No, he's not." Pop smiled, "let's go."

Pop took my hand in hers, and helped me out of the room.

"Are you going with me?"

"No. This is between the two of you. I don't think I'm meant to be involved." She nudged me towards the stairs, "makeup with him, fast. I need to have dinner."

"Okay." I stood there and watched her until she entered her room.

That was when I decided to go downstairs.

My heart was heavy with guilt.
