_An Unexpected Proposal

Due had a sumptuous meal with Lisa and her family. Even though this was her first time being in their house, they showered her with so much love.

However, it didn't take them too long before they discovered the slur in their daughter's speech.

"Oh, my God, Lisa honey, why do you sound like that?" Mrs. Patel asked with widened eyes, making Due's heart skip in guilt.

This was because of her… her fault.

Lisa exchanged a look with Due before turning to her mother with a reassuring smile on her face.

"I hit my mouth on the taxi's door, mum. But it's not as bad as it looks." She lied.

The food suddenly started to taste like ash in Due's mouth. Barbara must pay. But just how could she make her pay? She had no idea.

However, she wouldn't give up until she found a way to make Barbara pay for all the evil she had done to her, her friends and family.
