My love from the past..

Alexander, a young man haunted by the tragic death of his wife to cancer, is consumed by grief and struggling with a disorder. When he runs into Emma, a young woman he met at the mall, Alexander is convinced that Emma is the reincarnation of his dead wife. But as his obsession with Emma intensifies, it led him into kidnaping Emma thinking she is his wife and he would go any length to make sure she is closer with him. …… As my eyes peeled open, I found myself surrounded by darkness. The air around me was suffocating and I struggled to breathe. Panic kicked in as I realized I was cramped in the small space of a car's boot. As I struggled for air, I kicked and screamed, hoping someone would hear me out and rescue. Suddenly, the car came into an halt, and I froze. I remained quiet, hearing the sound of heavy footsteps approaching the car's boot. The door creaked open and my gaze met with the familiar smile of Alexander as he stood before me with a warm expression. “My dearest wife, Tayla,” he began and I felt my chest squeezed in pain at the suffocating air. “We have gone far away from the sight of others. No matter how you try to run away from me, you are still my wife and there is nothing in this world that can pull us apart.”

Obsessed

Alexander POV

I reached into Tayla in the car boot to lift her out but she resisted, her eyes glaring at me with defiance.

"Tayla," I scolded but she shook her body.

She was becoming stubborn as she used to be. I sighed, staring at her blue eyes which was now burning with unshed tears. I need to get her out of the car into the Mansion where she would take a long rest. Seeing her act stubborn, I pulled out the handkerchief from my pocket, the one I had prepared for her earlier.

I gently brought it over her nose and she resisted for a moment not wanting to inhale it. I pressed both of her hands down and she slowly inhaled the substance from the handkerchief.

At first she didn't react and she looked at me with watery eyes. But after a few seconds, she began to feel dizzy and her body became weak.

As she slowly fluttered her eyes closed, I pulled her out of the boot. Tayla was finally mine again after years of being separated from her. This time I would not let her die. I would protect her from any evil and take care of her.

As I walked towards the Mansion, I couldn't help but think about the past memories we shared. Soon, she would remember everything and our love would continue.

As I walked into the Mansion, I caught sight of Dr Logan standing at the corner of the house.

"Alexander who is she?" Logan questioned me.

"She is my wife, Tayla," I answered. His eyes moved from me to the girl and his eyes widened in shock before replacing it with a small frown.

"Your wife is dead," he said. "This is not your wife. Have you taken your medication recently?"

"What?" I scoffed. "You think I might be losing my mind again? This is Tayla, my wife."

I walked past him, climbing the stairs up to the room next to mine. I pushed the door open and slowly walked inside before placing her on the bed. A small smile graced on my lips as I stared at her face while she slept peacefully. I carefully reached for her forehead and gently brushed the strands of hair.

I leaned closer before placing a soft kiss on her forehead and I pulled back.

I stared at her for a moment before turning around and I walked out of the room. Stepping out, I met Sophia, my over pampered sister who thinks she could get everything she wants with just a click of a finger.

"Sophia? What are you doing here?" I questioned.

She had a look of disapproval on her face as she wrapped her arms across her chest.

"Who is the girl you took inside the room?" She asked.

I hesitated, studying her expression as I thought of what to say to her. "She….. is just someone I found."

She narrowed her eyes to me. "Don't lie to me Alexander. I know you too well….. the look on your face when you brought her upstairs says it all. You are obsessed with her as you were with Tayla,"

"You can't just bring a commoner into our home, Alex," she scolded.

"What if I tell you she is Tayla?" I asked, tilting my head to the side.

Her expression turned cold. "You are back at it with your hallucinations. That girl is not Tayla. Bringing her into our home….. you are putting us in danger."

I took a step forward and placed my hand on her right shoulder. "Trust me Sophia. Everything will be fine. I promise."

Sophia stared into my eyes searching for truth, before she turned around and walked away.

I sighed before turning around and I locked the door.

I walked towards the pillar and held it as my mind traveled back to how Tayla passed away from cancer.

As I sat beside her on the hospital bed holding her frail hand, I tried to ignore the machine which was beeping every second. Tayla's once long blonde hair was now gone replaced with bald head. Her eyes was burning with tears that was slowly shedding down her pale face.

"Alexander I'm so scared," she whispered in my ears. "I feel like I would pass out any moment from now."

My jaw clenched tightly as I held myself back not to shed any tears in front of her. The doctor already told me she doesn't have much time before she would die but I don't want to believe that she would leave this world soon.

"Don't speak like that," I mumbled. "You will be fine. The doctor said they would do everything they can to make sure you beat it. If you don't improve any better tomorrow I will transfer you to another hospital."

She smiled sadly. "You know I'm too weak now. I'm tired…. I can't even stand up on my own…. I need help from someone."

I swallowed hard, raising my head to look at the ceiling.

"No," I shook my head. "You are not going to die. I won't let you leave me."

I felt a bile rising up in my stomach as I stared at her weak body. With the days dragging on, she isn't looking any better but her condition is only getting worse.

This was all my fault. Maybe if I hadn't left her in the hospital by herself she would have survived it. With my blood boiling with anger I snapped my head to the lamp and grabbed it before smashing it against the wall.

Her death was a shock to me. I remembered hearing the news from the doctor and I couldn't hold myself anymore. For months I isolated myself from friends while trying to find a cure for the sickness that took my wife.

I blinked my eyes several times. Why should I be sad about her death when she is alive again? I need to forget about the past and focus on the present. Tayla would wake up soon and she would be hungry and in need of food.

I walked downstairs to saw a maid passing by. I grabbed her wrist, pulling her closer to me.

"Prepare some food and serve it to Tayla in her room upstairs," I said.

"Si…..sir? Who is Tayla?" She asked.

"Just take the food to the room next to mine,'' I said, releasing her wrist.
