Preparation for tomorrow

All my roommatres have woken up. First I am thinking how should I warn my friends. And even if I warn them it might not even matter then as I don't know which one of them will survive zombification.

Let's just soft warn them,with this if they survive zombification they might me able to face what comes next.

[Hahaha...that might be it. Damn Liam you are becoming more and more geeky everyday] says Ron while laughing. Ron and I used to get to the same high school. I started watching anime after I got to college. This guy always makes fun of me for that,not that I mind.

[No, it was a nightmare. I saw a great storm happening tomorrow and 90% all humans becoming zombies. Every surviving human got a system and I was trying to use it to survive. It felt too real. I am thinking I'll just hole up in my home tomorrow and just let the day pass.]

I sigh and think there's no way I can convince them. But at least with this if any of them survive they'll be able to find their composer sooner if they survive. And with the kind of chatterbox Ron is our whole class no the whole college will know what I said. Who doesn't want to know about another person's dark history.

I pack my luggage in 15 minutes and clean my PC's hard drive. My friends look at me strangly but I say to them that these anime and game are affecting me too much so I'm cleaning these all up(little did the know I didn't want somebody to break in here during apocalypse and somehow find my 30 gb that what should not be named) I say bye and take out my car. My home is 60 km away from my college. As My family estate was not confiscated during the change to democracy. My father was one of the pro democracy noble and that's why our wealth and authority didn't decrease much, just the mine that our family used to run was taken by the government, the steel processing business is still under our family name. I should be able to convince my family to stay at home tomorrow. As a viscount estate my home is a little bit away from long lake city. I just have to get as much as canned and dried food possible. There are some hunting guns in my home. But I must ask my father for the vintage desert eagles and the M280 light machine gun he keeps at his office. As Xeon solar system was at war just a decade ago all nobles were in military service. It seems there were even some laser weapons used in those wars as well as nukes. With my father's help I should be able to get by untill Eleanora becomes available.

I reach my home and servants receive me. Even though it's been more than a decade since the end of aristocracy our family butler and servants still stayed. There 3 maids, one chef and one gardener. My mother appears from behind them and pulls me into a hug

[Liam,my baby... how have you been!!! It seems you've gotten thinner. Are you not eating? I told you don't need to stay at dorms. It's just an hour of driving away.]

My mother dotes on me too much. Honestly she is the reason I've left home,she still treats me as a child. But after all I've been feeling since morning,my mother's embrace feels much comfortable to me.

After talking with father I look at my mother and brother staring at me. I just shrug my shoulder and go to my room.

After I've put my luggage I call my brother

[ Leon come with me let's go to the supermarket]

I take our family mini truck to the supermarket. After we reach supermarket I tell my brother to get all soap, shampoo, oil, toilet paper ,water, drinks, medicine from the pharmacy corner.

He gives me a weird look but still gets all I of him to get. As we go to the counter to check out the salesperson gets shocked to see 20 carts full of stuff. The other customers keep complaining but I don't have time to argue with them. I swing my credit card and start putting all the stuff I bought in the truck with Leon. After we get back I ask the butler to put all the things I bought in the celler. All the servants get astonished with the amount of grossary Ive bought. I keep hearing the servants whisper

[[ Young master Liam has gone mad]] but I don't mind them. I don't know how many of them will survive tomorrow. My mother looks at me with complex emotions. I just tell my mother

[ Don't worry mother, everything will be fine. By the way It's been a long time since I've eaten food you've made. Can you please make today's meals with the freshest and best ingredients... Also let the chef cook with the best ingredients for the servants as well.]

The lunch was amazing. I don't know if I can eat the same way after tomorrow. At evening my father comes home and calls me to his study. I ask father to call mother and Leon too. After that I tell them all what happened in the morning. My brother makes a weird face and tells me that it's all my fantasy. But my mother and father makes a grim face. After hearing me my father said

Me and Leon get shocked. The empire and Archduke knew about the apocalypse from before and general public didn't have any hint of it. It does make sense though as if Eleanora can send her avatar, some other races might also have ways to communicate with Xeon solar system. And most of them won't choose who contract some random person like Eleanora. They'll contact will the most influential of people. And not telling the general mass also makes sense as it would create unnecessary panick. We spent some time silently to absorb the information. After that father says

[Well nothing we can do right now. Let's go eat dinner. After that I'll tell all servants to stay at different rooms close there doors not come out untill we come to call the tomorrow no matter what happens]

We eat dinner. Maybe it was the most tense dinner in my life even more than the time I went to the Duke's invition with my family as a child. But it was also probably the best meal till date. Father briefs the servants about what they must do. After that we chat as family without anything about upcoming apocalypse. Then we go to our rooms to sleep. Even though Leon has his own room he says he'll sleep with me tonight like he used to do in the past. I go to bed and start thinking all that happened today. It was the longest day of my life. It started with a meeting with an elf queen to now preparing for apocalypse. Slowly I feel sleepy and fall to sleep.
