SEVEN

One year later...

It was a month to Mark's and Ms Lucy's wedding and Ms Lucy was trying on the wedding gown Mack had designed for her with my help.

Mark had asked Ms Lucy numerous times to marry him and trust me, I lost count.

He used fireworks, bioluminescent fish, flowers, bands and more, then she finally said yes. Soon, really soon, they were engaged then waited for six months before getting married.

Mack had made the dress flow to the ground with glitter on it.

I put the science behind it, I had the designers of Aqua bolt put optic fibres in it with white light to shimmer from the belt downwards.

Ms Lucy looked gorgeous in the gown, which actually wasn't news. She twirled in front of the mirror and then there was a knock on the door.

Ms Lucy asked who it was.

The man said he was the designer, coming to add the finishing touches to the gown.

Ms Lucy said,"I know it's you Mark."

"Dang it!"

Ms Lucy posted Lucille and me outside to watch out for Mark then we saw a waitress, pushing a trolley of food to the room.

Lucille stopped them and raised the cloth and said,"Boo."

Mark got startled and banged his head on the top of the trolley and yelled,"Aw! Son of a..."

"Okay, okay, you have to leave."I said.

"Why? I just want to see my fiancee."

"It's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding."I continued.

"Bad luck? I thought you didn't believe in luck, I thought you were a man of logic, like me!"

I shrugged my shoulders then Mark said,"We'll see about that."

Then he walked away. I gave Lucille the look and she smiled widely.

Mark made himself comfortable on the window cleaner's ledge and took my pair of binoculars from his pocket and said to himself,"How do you like me now?"

He looked through and saw Lucille's cute face smiling at him.

"Oh hi Lucille."

She cleared her throat and screamed,"Mom! Mark wants to spy on you from the window 23° east from the mirror!"

Rose immediately closed the window and Mark looked at Lucille and asked,"What gives?!"

She looked at him innocently then said,"My mom pays me twenty bucks an hour."

"Oooh, really?"

The day of the wedding came and Mark was anxiously waiting for Ms Lucy.

The most handsome guy in the room was standing at the tip of the alter, waiting for the most beautiful woman.

She then walked in with a veil over her beautiful face.

Her father escorted her to her husband to be then they held hands.

They looked into each others' eyes then Mark removed the veil.

The priest had them say their vows and soon, Lucille and I brought the rings.

They put the rings on each other then kissed, then I woke up...it was all a dream.

Just kidding!

Gotcha!

They ran out of the chapel and entered the limo to go for their honeymoon.

They went all around the world for their honeymoon and came back two months later.

I had missed them dearly and it was obvious Lucille had too.

Lucille yelled for the first time in a long time,"Mom! Dad!"

She hugged them.

Mark's heart was filled when he heard that word, suddenly I joined in the hug and Mark carried all of us and squeezed us.

I squealed as I couldn't breathe and Mark said,"Oh, sorry too tight, I got caught up."

"No dad, it was just right."Lucille said.

I was fifteen now and so as Rose but she had already graduated and had gotten admitted into one of the best colleges in the country.

Mack and Ruby were admitted into different colleges as Ruby also got a high class school due to her intellect, but they were determined to make their long distance relationship work.

I still had my job at the zoo and had even become friendly with the emerald tree boas and the sharks.

Because Mark and previously Ms Lucy, but now just Lucy had gotten married, they moved to a new mansion and the best part was, it was close to Rose's new college.

Mark was in a business meeting with a company's manager who wanted to cooperate with Aqua bolt.

Mark got a video call from Lucy and answered.

When he hung up, the manager asked,"Hey, who's that hottie?"

Mark frowned and said,"That ' hottie ' is my wife and like I cut that call, I'm cutting our agreement."

The manager was shocked, he did everything to get back on Mark's good side as he dearly needed Aqua bolt and its resources but Mark didn't budge.

Mark walked into the mansion with Lucille and me behind him then he kissed Lucy and said,"Hello sweetie."

She smiled and pulled his tie and said,"Can we be alone?"

He smiled and dropped his suitcase.

Holding his tie, she led him into their bedroom.

I just went to do my homework, I had skipped another class so I was one year away from college.

A few weeks later, Lucy stood up from the dining table then ran away.

Mark followed her then yelled her name, I was confused until I saw him carrying her on both his arms. She was unconscious.

He told Lucille and me to get in the car and we did.

Mr Nelson was speaking to the chief of police, he said,"It's time for phase two."
