ONE HUNDRED AND FOUR

I was teaching Chienembe about turbulent and laminar flow.

It was a Saturday and I hadn't seen Mark for one second. Just then, he slid down the stairs...

That's odd.

And he was talking to someone on the phone and laughing...

I couldn't hold in my inner curious cat and asked when he was done... several minutes later,"Who was that?"

"Hm?"

"Who were you just talking to?"

"Oh, it's Selina...my girlfriend."

I dropped my jaw.

"I didn't know you had a girlfriend!"

He did that his charming chuckle and said,"You never asked."

Good but annoying point.

"How long have you been dating?"

"Oh, about three weeks now."

I had to find out about this... ' Selina ', I wasn't going to let any woman take advantage of my brother again.

So I...stalked her.

I did some coding I learned from Mark and school to find where she lived. She didn't live very far from the penthouse.

I then started following her as the Summer vacation was in a day.

I found out her pet's name, her family tree, her credit card number, her eye colour, her Netflix password, her app lock, her ex boyfriends, her everything.

But I needed more info, she was perfect...too perfect.

I followed her into her house one day then she entered a secret room even ' The dark side '—which was a hacking website Ruby and I were on—didn't know about.

I was shocked to see the room.

It was full of dolls hanging by the neck on ropes and info of Mark! She was a stalker! Well so was I but... besides the point, she was a real psycho! She could hurt Mark!

I took pictures then she saw me and I ran. I got on my skateboard and rolled as fast as I could but she chased me with her car.

I slid down the railing of the stairs to a subway and she got down then saw the train and ran after me and the doors closed.

Then I got out from under the trash and ran up the stairs.

I skated back home and showed Mark the pictures and he looked at me, he was obviously hurt.

But it is better for him to be hurt emotionally than physically...

Right?

He then hugged me and picked up his phone and ended their relationship, then and there and to make sure she didn't get revenge on me, he called the asylum. It turned out, she had recently been freed for obsession over Mark and a few other guys, who she usually kidnapped and forced to marry her.

And if they didn't do her bidding, they were never heard from again.

A few days later...

A week and a half into the vacation and Ruby had gone to live with her grandparents in China.

I still had my best friend Lucille to keep me company though and was still able to make video calls to her.

I was in Lucille's mansion when I heard Mark and Ms Lucy fighting again, it was the usual, so I didn't mind.

Mark yelled,"Why are you so stubborn?!"

"Why am I so stubborn?! See who's talking! You lied to me for years and think you can just walk into my house and have things done your way?!"

"You cheated on me!!"

Ms Lucy had had it.

"I didn't cheat on you you idiot!"She yelled.

"What?"

"Oh so you're stupid and deaf? I did not cheat on you!"

Mark was confused then she continued,"I wanted to get back at you for lying to me so I paid someone to pretend to kiss me, but nothing happened between us."

"So, you lied?"

"...yes."

"But why? Why didn't you just end things for real, there and then?"

"Because I still had feelings for you...and I still do."

Mark widened his eyes and she said,"I tried everything to get over you, I got married, tried again but it never worked."

He then asked,"Then why didn't you tell me till now?"

"Because I didn't want to make you feel better, I wanted to hurt you."

"But you were rather hurting yourself...wait, what if I told you I still had feelings for you?"

She rolled her eyes, folded her arms and said,"My ego wouldn't let me accept your proposal."

"So you admit that you have a large ego huh? So what if I told you now?"

She widened her eyes and yelled,"Are you kidding me?! It would ruin my reputation to be with you again! Everything I've worked for will crumble down! I wouldn't..."

Mark pulled her by the waist and placed his lips on her's.

Ms Lucy was caught off guard and would have slapped him but...she didn't want to hurt him anymore...she closed her eyes...

Mark pulled back and she was a little angry, she missed his kissable lips, then he put his forehead on her's and his nose on her's and asked,"Did you like it?"

She nodded timidly and they continued.

Lucille snatched the binoculars from my hand and looked through then she squealed.

Ms Lucy saw us peeking and giggled then she closed the curtain...that was a massive rip off.

Mark eventually pulled back and Ms Lucy asked,"What's wrong?"

He looked at her and knelt down and asked,"Will you be my girlfriend?"

She smiled and ran into his arms then he asked teasingly,"So was that a yes or a no?"

"A yes you dummy."

They decided to keep the relationship a secret till they were sure about their feelings and told Lucille and I and we agreed.

Sadly, I couldn't... because of how smart Ruby was, she could read people like books and she read me to find out I was hiding something from her that made me wonder how she couldn't tell Chienembe was fake, or maybe she could like Rose, she just needed more evidence.

"Tell me!"She balled.

"Nope, my lips are sealed."

"Please?"

She did her puppy dog eyes and they were so adorable! Like a puppy wrapped in a bunny wrapped in a panda bear, I couldn't resist!

Fight it, fight it!

Ugh, fine!

"I got promoted two more classes, but I wanted you to find out when you got back, as a surprise."

"Aww, really? Stop lying, I can tell."

Bummer.

"Fine, Mark and Ms Stone are dating again."

She widened her eyes and dropped her jaw then squealed so loud, I thought my eardrums were going to burst then she yelled,"Really?! Aww, that's so cute! But I actually saw it coming, there were lots of signs that they still liked each other."

"And you didn't tell me?!"I yelled.

"They told you to keep it a secret right? Well, it was obvious they didn't want anyone to know."

"Okay, please don't tell anyone."

"I have kept your juicy secret of..."

"Shh, don't say it, they're cameras around."

"Fine, I've kept your juicy secret for two months, I can keep this one too."

"Thanks Ruby, you're the best."

"And I know you'll soon tell me Rose isn't who we think she is but okay."

She hung up and I widened my eyes...

How did she find out?!
