Chapter 03 - Mastered

 It seemed that Jason could also make the weapon evolve with training. That was good to know. The description was a bit misleading, but perhaps it made sense, given that he used SP to work.

"Let's see. HP stands for hit points, MP for magic points, SP for stamina points, and TP… training points? Technique points?" Jason furrowed his eyebrows. Regardless, I can recover enough SP to use the skill every fifty seconds, which means I can get one TP every fifty seconds. To master the dagger, I will need almost one hour and a half."

Better late than never… Jason began to use the skill, and at some point, he felt like he was going to die. He got exhausted, and while he felt better over time, it was hard to get used to feeling tired so often. At least it was cool to use such a weapon like that. He truly felt like a pro.

"Let's hope that the dagger will turn into an Excalibur next. That would be really convenient," Jason thought while smirking. "Let's make a resolution with fate itself… if the dagger evolves into Excalibur, I promise that you won't search for porn of big-boobed Japanese women."

 That was a very specific type of search on adult sites… it would be better if Jason would stop watching porn altogether, but he knew his limits. Maybe he should have done that since he doesn't think that he will have time for the Internet after what happened to the world.

 After one hour of practice, Jason tried to do a bunch of things to recover stamina faster, taking a nap, lying down, and breathing more air… nothing worked.

"At least no more tremors took place… it would be bad if the world kept changing and this dungeon collapsed with me inside it," Jason thought and then checked the mastery of the weapon. "Ten times more…"

 After a couple of minutes, Jason reached his goal but didn't know how to feel about it.

"... Well, it is better than the dagger," Jason thought. "I can still look for big-boobed Japanese women, so this isn't all that bad."

 Putting Jason's cooping aside, the sword wouldn't help him solve the situation. When he checked Heavy Strike, he confirmed that it was a skill where he would take a step forward and almost jump before swinging down his weapon. It consumed the same amount of SP as Double Slash, but it would cause more damage. It would take a bit more to master, though.

 Speaking of Mastery, Jason noticed that the knowledge of Double Slash was on his mind now… activating the skill perfectly with the infinite dagger would be easy, but using it with other weapons wasn't impossible.

 It's not like that would be of any use now… Jason had to come up with a plan to escape. While the boss couldn't reach him, their underlings could, and he wouldn't be in a good position once a fight broke out.

"At best, I can last here for three days and nights, but my condition will worsen, so I should fight for my life before that can happen," Jason thought. A monster of that size… can't be taken in a direct light… I need to be underhanded and cause as much damage as possible while decreasing their ability to fight. A good few hits on its nape will do the trick."

 Jason couldn't wait for people to clear the dungeon. If things like trolls were leaving the dungeon, the place would be ignored for a while. Besides, he went fishing in the mountains… a pretty distant place from everything; the distance should have increased from everywhere else.

"Let's see… I should at least master the sword to get some more power," Jason thought. "Independently from any other weapon that I will be able to use afterward, I should go and attack that thing. Using Complete Appraisal might help more this time."

 While Jason was training with the sword, he tried to see if regular training would work. Naturally, he tried to copy the moves of Heavy Strike, but that didn't work either. After two hours, he finished his job.

"This will help a bit if I were crazy enough to use this skill… anyway," Jason thought and then began to head to the boss chamber. "I don't have time to test or the opportunity to use Heavy Throw since it would make noise, so I should focus on the real plan. I am starting to get hungry, so I should try to kill that thing as fast as possible, even if it is madness.
