Chapter 4: Walking home

It was getting late, so Saya decided to pack up for the day. Yawning and stretcing out her arms ,Alice walked up to her and asked to walk with her.

" Hey um,so where do you live?"

"Oh, at C block by the convenience store over... what? A 2 and a half kilometers from here? Why?"

Wondering how to phrase this, Alice decided to be a little honest about her 'situation'

" Well , can we walk home together? My house isn't very far from here but it gets dangerous at night."

"Yeah sure,why not?"

It was true that Alice's house wasn't as far from her workplace as she lived in an apartment that was right next door. ' Maybe I really did overslept that day...' But as they got close, a shadow leaped from an alleyway , nearly giving the two of them a heart attack.

A man who looks to be the same age as Alice was on one knee, it looked as if he was going to propose. And he did.

" My dear Hara! Please go out with me!"

"No! I told you several times to get lost!"

Saya was just standing there, confused,This was particularly shocking in the fact that the Alice could totally beat ass if she wanted to. In her mind, we can only hear the gentle sounds of 'what the f*ck is going on here right now?' She could see them arguing , and him almost bursting in tears all the while in a span of three minutes. When Alice finally came back , you see the embarrassment and annoyance on her face.

"Who was that??"

" Takashi Yakashiro,he was a childhood friend of mine."

" A childhood friend?"

" Keyword; was."

One would think childhood friends would still be a bit friendly, but it made sense once Alice explained her entire life story.

You see ,the two of them were only childhood friends because their moms knew each other when they were kids and they never actually got along with one another and kept picking fights. So when they both enrolled to the same school, puberty sort of happened. You know , that time where sweaty guys get pimples and girls get bloody periods, literally. Takashi started dating a girl, and two of kinda tried to make Alice's life horrible but things didn't go as planned so they broke up. And then he wanted to date Alice because she was his last resort, in which she very understandably refused. And now he won't stop following her like a creepy serial killer in the dark.

Saya was still confused , which is not surprising . You don't get many people pouring their baggage on to you after three days with them, but I guess in case of the internet, you do.

"Why haven't you called the police yet?!"

" I already filed two restraining orders on him. Do you really think I never tried?"
