I wasn't scared of him, but rather I'm hypnotized by him. "Are you deaf? Or did you forget what I said about not staring at me? Come on! Close your mouth because you're drooling." Lunatic.

"We are gathered here for the joining of these two lovely couples together." The priest said while stretching his hands forward.

I tried to put on my best smile, so I allowed my lips to curve up into a beautiful smile, but I was Damm nervous because the church was empty.

I have always dreamt of my wedding at a beach, and it's going to be filled with my family and friends, but today is more like what I usually see as a nightmare.

None of my family members are present. Who am I kidding?

The only person that I can see right now is the priest who's smiling at me.

I bet that his smile didn't reach the edge of his lips, and it's obvious that his smile is forced.

"Do you want him to be your lawfully wedded husband? To love and cherish. In health and sickness. Till death do you pass!" The priest said, and I nodded my head.

"Yes, I do!" I responded while maintaining the fake smile on my face.

I'm good at faking things. I can fake a conversation, smile, laugh, and I can even fake a friendship. Well! That's if it's required then.

"And do you take Natasha to be your lawful wedded wife? To love and cherish. In health and sickness. Till death do you pass!" The priest asked, but no response was heard from my husband's mouth.

I became tense.

Ever since I stepped foot inside the church. I had thought that my husband was waiting for me at the altar.

I was a little bit nervous at that very point in time, so I didn't bother to raise my head while walking through the aisle of the church, because I'm not mentally ready to see my husband's face.

I slowly shifted my gaze towards the place where I expected my husband to be standing and unfortunately. It was only occupied by a wheelchair.

'Just as I had thought!' I mumbled within myself.

Currently! I don't know who my husband is, and I don't know his physical appearance! but all I do know is that I'm currently getting married to him.

If I'm asked to explain how I met my so-called husband, then I'll just tell the person that it's a long story.

I never knew my husband, or am I married to a wheelchair? I asked myself in a joking manner.

The question which I had asked myself made me start smiling. As I imagine the possibility that I'm not getting married after all.

"Hmm! You have to keep this ring. I have already blessed it, so when you get to your husband's house... you both can just exchange rings, and perhaps you both can also formally exchange vows with each other." The priest said, before handing over to me, a small red box that contains my husband's wedding ring.

"Huh?" I asked him while arching my brows.

'Is this priest posse or something?'

I was expecting the priest to at least give me some little explanation, but he didn't. Instead, the priest continues the wedding procession.

"By the power vested upon me. I now proclaim you husband..."

"I'm not going to be his wife's priest. I can't be the wife of a wheelchair!" I yelled while turning around to leave the empty church premises.

How can the priest just boldly declare that he now pronounces me and a wheelchair, husband, and wife?

'I mean what the heck!'

I became so annoyed because I let myself be fooled by that man. I wouldn't have agreed to such a marriage.

Assuming I was aware that something like this is going to happen today, then I would have just pleaded with the man to lend me money at first, instead of making a fool out of me.

I was about to open the church door when someone suddenly bumped into me.

"Where are you heading to?" The voice asked, causing a cold chill to run down my spine.

"No! Nowhere!" I mumbled with a shaking voice, which was the result of the person, who's currently at my front, seems scary.

"You don't have to leave! You have to face the consequences!" The man yelled, and I could tell that he smirked under the black mask that he's currently using to cover his face.

He wore a Halloween plain black mask, and only his eyes could be seen from the mask.

'Why did he have to dress like a freak?'

I felt weak, and I mean very weak. It was as if the ground should just open and swallow me in this instance.

I don't get scared my individuals easily, but the possibility that the people behind me are all here to rape me, causes chill to run down my spine.

Right now. I'm sure that I have urinated on my pants, because of how scared I am.

'God please help me!' I uttered underneath my breath, but it seemed as if the man heard it.

I'm glad that he ignored what I had just said.

I found myself stepping backward, and it was as if the masked guy had planned everything because he was Damm delighted to see me stepping back to the place where I had been standing earlier.

I couldn't see his face, but I'm a hundred and one percent sure that he's amused right now.

'Freak!'

How would he be happy, seeing a young pretty lady like me being scared?

When I had nowhere else to stand, he didn't bother to approach me any further, but instead he made his way towards the place where the wheelchair was kept.

Did I mention that this so-called man that just entered the church premises was guiding someone behind him?

I had at first thought that he was my husband. And perhaps the reason why the wheelchair is there is as a result of the fact that he doesn't like standing too much, but I was damm wrong.

The masked man wasn't the only one putting on a mask, but those that were beside him were also wearing masks.

I begin to contemplate who exactly is my boyfriend, or should I say 'future husband.'

I mean those that were beside him were also putting on black mask-like him, and when he tended to step away, I finally saw a man in a wheelchair.

Since there was an empty wheelchair beside me. I believe that the man with the wheelchair right now is my husband.

The man was also putting on a mask, and he seemed somewhat intimidating.

I couldn't understand the reason why he's also wearing a Halloween mask, but I guess it's as a result of what the contract states.

'Why the hell didn't I read the contract properly?' I scolded myself.

If only I wasn't in a hurry. I won't have been surprised right now, because I'm guessing that the contract stated everything that's going to happen today.

The man was completely in a black outfit. He wore a black suit, an inner black long sleeve. Black trousers, black shoes, and a black mask, and he looks more like the 'Devil' himself, due to the cold aure that he carries, but the only difference between him and the devil is that... Well, I can't even tell at this very moment!

But if I'm not mistaken, the guy seems to be a devil, or perhaps I don't even mind calling him Devil.

I'm an individual who gives names to people without knowing them, so for the little being, I'll call him with the name that suits his aure.

It's so surprising yet shameful, that a normal human being could just bribe a lady who he barely knows to marry him.

It's absolutely what they call shameless on another level. Or perhaps it's preferable if it's called shameless at the worst level.

I'm desperately in need of money, so I had to accept his offer because I'm not even straight, to begin with, so there's no way any intimacy can occur between the two of us.

Well! I'm not a lesbian, but I have never had any feelings toward the opposite sex, so I do classify myself that I'm an individual who isn't straight, and on the other hand I also don't have feelings toward girls. Funny Right?

The man who had been approaching me a while ago suddenly removed the first wheelchair out of the way, before helping the crippled man I guess.

"You may continue. Priest!" The crippled. Well, I just have to call him the crippled man for now, because if he can't stand, then I assume the worst.

The priest glared at me before smiling. It's nice that he isn't putting on a mask because I guess I might have passed out a long time ago.

"Do you take Natasha to be your lawful wedded wife? To love and cherish. In health and sickness. Till death do you pass!" The priest asked once more, and the man replied with a nod.

I felt mad. Like really mad.

'How would he just nod like that without even opening his mouth to say something?' I question myself, but who was I even expecting to reply to my silly question.

I got mad at myself for replying to the priest when he asked if I take the cribble man to be my husband.

If I had known that there was no need to reply, then I would have nodded my head as my so-called husband had just done.

'Is this happening? Like seriously. Am I marrying a crippled man?' I started questioning myself.

We exchanged rings, but I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't even realize the time I had worn the ring on his finger.

When it was time for him to place the ring on my finger. I quickly return to my senses.

My eyes became on full display, as I stared at the masked man who was now holding my hand.

He was wearing a black tick glove, which seemed as if he was trying to hide the color of his skin.

When he held my hands in his. I felt something.

Even though he's currently putting on a tick glove, I was still able to feel the spark.

It was as if an electrical flow passed through my entire body, but it was blissful.

He gently places the ring on my finger, and even though I shouldn't be blushing. I just couldn't help it.

Wait! Staring at my ring finger now. I quickly stare at my husband's finger.

I couldn't believe that I was just so lost in my thoughts that I didn't even take note of what his finger looked like.

I was still scolding myself when the priest's words suddenly brought me back to reality.

"I now pronounce you as husband and wife?" The priest said. Smiling.

I patiently wait to hear him say 'You may kiss your bride!' But I didn't hear any words from the mouth of the priest.

I'm glad that the priest didn't say anything that involved me and my husband becoming intimate, because if he had said something, I don't possibly think I can continue acting cool.

I would have declined rudely, but luckily! It seems as if the priest is reading my mind.

Besides I'm also aware that even though the priest utters that statement, my husband wouldn't remove his mask on his face, just because he was told to kiss a girl he knows nothing of.

The sound of calling him 'My husband' in my head, sounds so disgusting.

"Let's go!" My husband said, with a hoarse voice, before rolling his wheelchair.

'I guess he's surely a cripple after all.'

"Hmm! Where?" I asked, but who the hell am I kidding.

They all ignore me and continue walking out of the church premises.

I need the money badly, so I have to continue acting cool.

The money they offer to pay me for just one month is like billions to me, and I can't even guarantee myself that I can afford that sum of money even in the next ten years to come.

I didn't bother to let them remind me about the contract I signed yesterday, so I swallowed my saliva like a thirst beast, before following behind the man in black who I have now decided to call Mister black, because of his complete black outfit.

They head straight to where a car is being parked and get inside the car.

My husband sat down on the passenger seat, while Mister Black sat down on the seat opposite the driver.

Another man in a black mask was sitting down on the driver's seat.

'What's up with this person and Halloween mask? Don't they feel suffocated?' I asked myself.

I finally realized that another car was parked behind my husband's car, so I'm guessing that they are his bodyguards.

It still seems amusing that I'm now getting married to a rich guy.

I was still thinking about the fact that I'm getting married to a rich man, but then my brain quickly registered to me that I'm not getting married, but I'm already married.

I fold my hands across my chest while staring at the floor.

Any gentleman who has what they call 'sense' is supposed to know that when a girl is expected to get inside a car, they should be the one to open the door of the car for her.

"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?" My husband asked, with a deep hoarse voice, and I suddenly felt myself urinating in my pants.

His voice alone caused a chill to run down my spine, and I felt goosebumps all over my body.

'What have I gotten myself into?' I mumbled under my breath, before slowly opening the door of the car, so that I would be able to get in.

I sat down beside my husband, and I didn't bother to raise my head, because I'm frightened.

What if they are eventually planning on taking advantage of me inside the car?

The driver accelerated the car, and it started driving the next minute.

Although the air conditioner was being turned on... I still felt hot, and I could feel an invisible sweat dripping down from my forehead.

"Can... Can I ask a question?" I find myself saying.

My mouth was no longer in control of itself.

The man beside me slowly nodded his head, and I took that as a means of approval.

"Can I please know where we are going to?" I asked, and this time around I asked the question with full confidence.

He didn't reply to me, and I felt as if he didn't hear what I said earlier, so I decided to repeat my statement.

"Well! I don't know you that much, and I would love it if we got to know each other. Perhaps I can start by telling you my name" I said, and just as if I wasn't afraid, I continued talking.

"Hey! My name is Natasha, and I have a little sister who's currently not that healthy. I'm grateful for the help that you offer to me, and I promise that I won't let you down, so I hope you can trust me in the future and that we both can become….."

I couldn't complete my statement because the car suddenly stopped in the middle of the road.

I arch my brows and continue staring at the man who's my husband, hoping that he explains the reason why the car had just stopped.

"Young! Young lady!" He called out, and I could hear that he was hesitating for a while.

"Alright! I just have to make some things clear to you woman! You are expected to talk, that's when you are asked to, and when we get to the mansion, you can ask your questions, but please…...."

He pauses, before closing the distance between us.

He places his lips beside my ear before whispering. "Wait for your husband, and stop asking bullshit!" He whispered in a very low voice, but I was still able to pick up what he had just said.

'Gush! Did I just marry a lunatic?' I asked myself, before contemplating what happened yesterday.
