My Hero Academia: Restless Gambler

Fate is a fickle thing. A single wrong roll of the dice can mark the end of your life. So what can you do when on your new lease on life you are thrust into a new world with the gacha deciding your fate? When your very life is a gamble? You just keep rolling the dice. P.S I don't own the cover nor do I have any claim over it

Chapter 5: Such Luck

Living in a world completely different from my own was an experience I can tell you that.

It has been like 6 days since I have transmigrated into this world.

I hadn't gained any rolls past day 1, for a good reason I would say. I hadn't really achieved anything of note.

Can't really do much about it. If I at least had a combat quirk I could have tried to do some vigilantism or something but there are not really many feats you can accomplish with a quirk like Apport, well I could try to go for a phantom thief-like route but far too much risk for too little gain.

So, instead, I took a few days to explore the world around me and most importantly explore my choices. Researching things on the computer in my house and just generally going around.

And as expected, the emergence of quirks has really changed the world from the one I knew. First of all, hero culture is strong, like really strong.

Like, Heroes are massively more popular than celebrities back in my world. Especially people in the top 100, they are basically worshipped. Also, even though this world was in the 22nd century the technology was barely more advanced than our world disregarding some exceptions.

So researching was really important unless I wanted to be caught not knowing things that are actually common sense.

Also, I signed up to a gym, specifically the Death Arms Gym, a gym owned by the pro-Hero Death Arms, the best one I found in terms of cost-to-effectiveness ratio. I went to start working out to build more muscle to fit into my frame.

Which led to come to a revelation. People in this world are at least somewhat superhuman, even those without combat quirks. I saw a man with 5 eyes curling a 100kg, and that was just normal apparently. I thought it was just like comics where they are inexplicably superhuman for no reason and that in reality, it wouldn't be like that but I was wrong.

Some research showed that the baseline of humanity actually evolved rapidly after quirks emerged and now the limit of the human body was basically obscure, it was apparently due to the human body needing to adapt to quirk factors, forcing it to become stronger and more adaptable. And since at this point, every human has at least some quirk DNA in them even though they are quirkless that means humans in general have way higher stat caps.

So that meant I had to work like hell to build my body considering the difference it can make here compared to mundane Japan.

Gacha powers are great and all but they don't mean shit if I don't have the body to back them up. Especially energy, all of my skills consume energy(or mana, basically the source of energy my abilities eat), if I run out of it during a fight I am as good as dead.

I can raise it pretty easily however by just making frequent use of Apport, the more energy I spend the more my reserve expands, it's like muscles. Beginners benefit or what I don't know how much it equates to but I have already somewhat doubled my energy capacity compared to day one.

I could probably teleport an object lighter than 25kg around 14 times before my energy drops to lethargy levels.

I have also learned thankfully or not that Apport only cares about mass during energy consumption instead of value which made sense, which told me that my abilities did not operate completely off of esoteric means.

Another thing I noticed was after getting treatment from Recovery Girl my body improved massively, which was to be expected, I don't know how much that doctor guy fucked me up but it was bad, now I felt like a new man.

My body currently resembled the one I had in my previous world, a muscular yet lean frame compact with strong muscles. I am not quite there yet but I am getting there, I am pretty sure I know also the reason why I bulked up so fast.

[Polar Channel Flow - Cellular Overdrive]

That skill puts all cells into overdrive, amplifying all bodily functions which should include regeneration too, to some extent at least. So after using it, my body had the most intense workout it ever had and after getting healed up by grandma I was in good shape, my background being in decent shape probably helped too.

Other than working out and researching I was also planning out my future plans because while I may not like planning I was actually capable of it.

Currently, there is only one week until the UA Academy entrance exam. Which I planned to participate in. Why put myself on the frontline of the plot when I can just take myself to the other corner of the country and watch the fireworks you ask?

Well, I want rolls.

Simple as that really, I had no grand ambition of the drive to become a hero, I was transmigrated into an anime world and given a gacha system, I just want to know what I can do with it.

It sounds fun.

Fighting enemies and getting more powers, items and perks to mess around with? That sounds like a dream come true. While it might be a shallow reason to put your life on the line I have always lived my life according to my whims.

If I was afraid of putting myself on the line I would have never fucked most of my Boss' family.

So yeah, that was the goal, I planned to thoroughly involve myself in the main plot even if it meant going to high school again since it meant more rolls. Before doing so, however, it would be best if I got a combat power somehow.

I could still probably make do with Cellular Overdrive if need be since baseline humans like Toru can pass but I don't want to risk it. So I need to get some more rolls but how?

Shaking my head I decided to not think about it right now, my body was still sore from the gym and all I wanted to do was to go home and lay in my bed right now.

But as I neared my house I noticed a bad omen, higher crowd density and cop cars.

Uh oh.

*Bang!* *Boom!* *Crash!* *Rumble!*

"Hey look! Mountain Lady is fighting a villain! Get him, Lady!" I heard a boy shout from the crowd, gathered concerningly near my house. Then I saw it.

The light in my faded as my sight glazed over.

'I am tempted to become a villain.'

Was the thought ringing in my head as I watched the gigantic Mt. Lady standing 20 meters tall bump into my apartment building and collapse my apartment specifically, her elbow going through my window and wall.

But THANKFULLY she managed to push herself off my apartment, caving the entire wall in with her hand as she pushed off of it and stomped the rock-covered villain into unconsciousness.

...Perhaps this will be my villain origin story. When reporters dare try and dig up my origin after I burn down an orphanage they will learn that it is because a hero whose power is to become large decided to work in a city and not the outskirts.

I do not care how skintight her outfit is or how sexy she is, I am fucking homeless now, because I definitely do not have hero collateral insurance.

I am very, very, very tempted to switch over to Apport and replace her suit with my wallet.

*Sigh*

Who am I kidding, there is no way the money in my wallet could afford a suit like that. I am a dead broke homeless teen whose powers come from gambling.

...I repeat it is incredibly tempting to become a villain.

Fuck it, I need to get at least some sort of payback from her.

Switching apport I used it to swap a 100 yen with one of the papers someone was trying to get signed with an autograph I weaved through the crowd and approached the smug and proud heroine.

And I must say, she was pretty, unreasonably so, with a body any model would envy further highlighted by her skin-tight suit. She had creamy blonde hair and amethyst eyes.

I would care about her looks if it was not overshadowed by my recent bout of homelessness.

I walked right up to her and helped out the paper toward her.

"Ah! Do you want an autograph? Sure, who do you want it written for?" She said with fake enthusiasm in her voice, she seemed to like the attention but not the fact that she had to sign so many autographs to maintain her image.

She did flinch when she saw my cold gaze.

"To no one in particular, I need this so that I can sell it since my house was just demolished," I said as I pointed toward the caved-in wall of the apartment with a giant handprint on it. "Unless you are offering to pay for it of course."

This made her suddenly freeze up almost comically before an idea seemingly bloomed in her head as she suddenly squirmed in a seductive manner.

"Umm~ I am really sorry, I needed to take down the villain, couldn't you just look past it?" Impressive abuse of her own looks if you ask my currently adamantium hard dick due to my curse but my eyes as I stared at her trying to brush the issue aside was cold enough to freeze Endeavor.

"I am homeless now." I held up the paper. "Signature or payment please." Seeing how serious I was Mt. Lady scratched her cheek trying to come up with some way to avoid accountability before snatching the paper from my hands and quickly scribbling a signature on it.

"Well, sorry about that well you can talk to my agency about that issue-" Mt. Lady suddenly rapidly spat out the words so fast I hardly heard her before turning on her heel "-I gotta go now, crime never waits, thanks for being a fan-! Goodbye, everyone!" I watched with the eyes of a dead fish as Mt. Lady all but sprinted away from me and any sense of accountability.

I suppose it would take a very shameless person to wear a costume like that.

*Huff*

Closing my eyes in frustration I let out a deep breath, okay, so I was homeless now, that was great, I know for a fact I sure as hell cannot get compensation from her agency because with what lawyer and what time?

And also my dick isn't going down. This curse was very, very inconvenient. It had only been two days since I had been to the brothel in the red-light district to mitigate my curse. It seemed like I would have to take a trip there again after lifting some more wallets.

*Sigh...* This is just great.

This day couldn't get any worse.

~Toga Himiko - 3 Days Ago~

Toga watched the video again and again.

That simple collage of clips was the only thing on her mind as she watched them for an hour straight.

Her eyes were glued to the young man on screen. His beautiful crimson blood gushing out of his battered body, staining his muscular Physique. He was so handsome, so cool, so sexy, so tasty looking.

She wanted nothing more than to reach through the screen to lick the blood off of him. She wanted to see his blood more, she wanted to know how it tasted, she wanted to know what kind of girls he liked, She wanted to know what kind of person he was, she wanted to see him sooo much.

She kept the phone on replay as she bit her bedsheet, her other hand furiously fingering herself as she imagined herself tasting his blood, his bloody body pressing up against hers as he fucked her senseless.

"Hnnnngh~!" She bit the sheets harder as she climaxed for the nth imagining herself with Hakari-kun, she had been furiously masturbating to him yet it did little to take the edge off for her.

She needed to meet him in person and confess her love to him.

She grew wetter again as she imagined herself meeting up with her, dying his body crimson with her knives as they made love.

Well, she had to meet him now then.

Thankfully, she knew just how to find him. Regretfully closing the video she pulled up her contacts. After finding the name she sought she pressed it and waited for a moment before the person on the other end picked up.

"Yo, Himiko-chan, what can I do for you?" A deep and slightly sleazy voice came from the other end of the call as Toga smiled to herself.

"Hey Giran~ I need you to find someone for me."

A/N: The Yandere curse works fast unfortunately for Hakari, in any other universe it might have picked some other target that was further away but in MHA the Yandere is already there, the curse only needs a budge to send the bloodthirsty mimic after Hakari and unlike other worlds she starts within sniffing distance of him.

The streak of bad continues for Hakari but adversity breeds innovation. He will rise up from these struggles stronger than ever. Or fate will keep kicking him in the balls, one of the two.

Tune in next time to see if Hakari finally kicks the bucket with his luck streak. You would expect someone of his namesake to be luckier but fate loves irony.
