Shadow and Blue

Serac sent what remained of the tsunami crashing on Atheon, and Stella clenched her eyes shut and tightened her hold on Rune's body. The powerful aura these two were exerting was beyond anything she had ever felt before.

Having fully expected to get caught in the crossfire, she was surprised to find that the wave had passed them over. None of the sensations of being drenched in water that came with being washed away were felt on her skin, and when Stella opened her eyes, several more bodies were laid by her side. It was the rest of Rune's companions.

Serac had transported them all to the same spot by manipulating some of the surrounding water. A dome of blue surrounded everyone and shielded them from the crashing wake. Stella marveled as she gazed at the aqua dome that protected them. It was a vibrant shade of bright blue, much different from the rest of the water in the vicinity. It had to have been infused with a massive amount of Serac's mana.
