Alex’s House Day

Characters: Ruth, Antoinette, Alex and Wisdom

Antoinette prepares breakfast for Wisdom. Wisdom prepares to go to school.

Wisdom: Good morning auntie.

Antoinette: Good morning my boy. How was your night??

Wisdom: I had a splendid night auntie.

Antoinette: I'm making breakfast for you. I can see you are preparing for school.

Wisdom: Yeah auntie I have to go to school today.

Antoinette: Really!!! I can see you really love school.

They both smile. Alex walks in....

Alex: Hey!!! My boy, how are you doing this morning?

Wisdom: I'm fine daddy... Are you leaving for work??

Alex: Yeah. I'm even late...(He looks at his wristwatch)

Antoinette: Oh please wait and let me get your breakfast done.

Alex: Oh don't worry like I said, I'm running out of time. I'll meet you guys in the evening.

Antoinette: Okay. Have a nice day.

Wisdom: Bye daddy....(He waves goodbye)

Alex: Honey please I'm leaving for work.....

Ruth comes out of the room.

Ruth: Honey you are leaving.

Alex: I'm even running late.

Ruth: Antoinette, have you made breakfast for him.

Alex: Oh no it's late so I've told her not to waste time. I'll have lunch later in the day.

Ruth: Really.... Are you sure you will be okay?

Alex: Oh yeah it's okay. Please hurry and take Wisdom to school.

Ruth: Yes please. I'll finish very soon. I'm putting things together. Have a nice day. (She kisses her husband)
