Chapter 40 - The Lords of Hell, Part Two

The hooded woman made her towards the end of the Kingdom, lower down and further away from the palace and towards where a certain, lawless area was to be found. And though it was once called 'lawless', and many demons still referred to the area as that, it was now legal for this district to exist and for the unorthodox businesses that blossomed there to operate without fear of noble interference.

Dangerous potions, horrible chimeras and once forbidden artifacts were all sold here under the jurisdiction and management of the Devil's manor.

And the red woman, cloaked within her hood, belonged to a very old, taboo practice, which by now you might have already guessed based on the description of her specific 'assets'. Indeed, she was a prostitute or rather, she once was a prostitute that worked at the most famous brothel in all of Hell - Dande's Palace.

Though now, after the previous owner had died, she took the place for herself and no one dared questioned her on that. Sexual appeal wasn't her only known traits, in many other ways she was known to be a dangerous woman. It was because of her remarkable talents, among other things, that she had gained the attention of Lord Agnos and was eventually given the status of a High Demon Lord or rather, High Demon Lady.

But she never forgot her roots and would still spend most of her time at the Brothel where she had been raised.

The woman walked through the bustling crowds of the market place, where stands could be found at every corner of the road, until she arrived at the old, stone building that resembled a tavern from the outside. It really wasn't anything too special. From where it stood, sandwiched between two other buildings, only a flat wall could be displayed along with two accompanied windows and a huge, wooden door rested in between those windows.

And on the ledges that were built in front of the windows, pots with red roses could be seen. A good sign that this place was now formally acknowledged by the Overlord.

The woman pushed open the doors and immediately flung her robe to the side. Oh, how that thing bothered her. What was the point in having a body like hers, if she could not show it to the world?

As she were now, her red skin was on full display. There wasn't much clothing that could be seen over her body and what she wore, would at best be considered underwear. Of course, there was the red bra that held her bosoms, but those melons were much too big and squeezed between the fabrics that desperately tried to contain it. And around her groin, she simply wore a thong that matched her bra. Her legs, waist and buttocks, for the most part, were completely visible.

She placed a hand on her wide hip's side as she tilted her waist and placed her body's weight on to the opposing foot. "Oi, ya darn sluts! You missed me much today?" she called out to the group of women that scattered around the insides. Most of which clung around the men that were there, some even ignoring the woman and continuing on with their provocations.

"Oi! Natasha, how was yer day at the palace?" said one woman, who was seated on a huge man's lap as she held up a jug of ale.

"Boring as ever!" Natasha replied as she walked forward and took a seat on a stool, beside the woman. Despite Natasha being there, the man didn't cease his fondling of the other woman's breast, which were naked and bare for all to see.

"Oi, Belgum, your time's up. You gonna pay for that handful or what?" the woman asked as she looked up to see the bald, bearded face of the man.

"Oh, common, Elijah, gimme a bit more time. Money's been-"

At that, the woman got up and slammed a kick into the man's head, sending him flying to the ground. "The only reason you get to play with me is because of money. If you ain't got any, then there's nothing for you here. Get out!"

With that out of the way, the woman sat down in the now empty stool and looked to Natasha's pretty pink eyes.

"So what happened?" the woman asked.

Natasha ordered a glass of ale and chugged it down her throat. She then wiped her mouth and replied. "Nothing important really. That darn Agnos is planning some scheme. Though, of course, I couldn't even be bothered with it. Heck, he made me wear that stupid robe all day, so I couldn't even use him for anything."

"I mean, haven't you used him enough." The other woman said as she, too, took a sip of ale. "I mean, your strength's impressive and all, but the only reason for your status was because you slept with that little shrimp."

Natasha leaned her face onto to the counter as he eyes thinned with lustful delight. "He looks like a shrimp but he's something else in bed. And one thing's for sure, he ain't a shrimp where it really matters."

"Is that so?" Elijah said as she braced a hand against her cheek and smiled.

"Ah, but enough about that!" Natasha shouted as she rose up. "Let's have some fun!"

Ronin returned to his room in themassive palace, which was to be found somewhere on the third sphere-topped tower on the South-West of the massive stone structure. And it was here where the old demon would spend most of his time.

Unlike the other members of the High Six, he as well as Los, were given their status purely because of their power and age. The two of them were the most trusted of the six and in terms of battle experience, they were also the wisest and renowned demons amongst the Lords of Hell.

But that also meant that other than serving the King, Ronin really didn't have much to do. And due to this, the man had taken up a liking to reading over his several centuries of life. How many books had he read by now? Who knows, he lost count such a long time ago. Not that it mattered, of course, the thing about books is that they were seemingly endless. No matter how many Ronin read, there would always be newer ones for him to discover.

The old demon sat down in a swaying chair that rocked back and forth as he looked out a window and into the red skies that were dotted with fleeting black clouds. And with a peace of mind, he delightfully proceeded to read a new book.

The gate that Los and Ellios had taken was the very same one which Emma had left through. This was so, mainly because this was the only Gate that lead into the human kingdom. All others in the capital city had long since been destroyed.

And immediately upon exiting Hell, the two made their way through the dark tunnel and up a set of stairs. They, for one, could easily do this since their heritage, being fire bred demons, which allowed them to make flames also gave them the ability to light their eyes for navigation in the dark

With that light to lead their way, as well as the approaching white light that came from a hole at the top of the staircase, the two moved into the throne room. Los looked back from where they had come and noticed that the hole beside their throne was very much unnatural. He immediately decided that this was most likely due to the runaway demon coming into the human world. She were here, the demon was certain of it.

Guards eyed the two demon lords with spears pointed forward. Though, both Los and Ellios remained calm and composed, with hands held immaculately behind their backs.

"Why are you two here?" asked one guard in front as he trembled with fear. This time, for sure, the guards were certain that these two were demon lords. The pentagons in their eyes were definitive proof of that.

"I don't believe that you two have any authority to question myself." Los said as he fixed his crooked glasses and walked forward, as the guard fell down and scurried backwards on the ground.

"Hey!" the voice of a man came from the main hallway that lead straight into the throne room. "What's going on here?" a golden haired man said as he crossed his hands. "What business does two demons have in the human world?" Lias went on as he sharpened his fierce eyes.

"Hmmm." Los looked to the boy.

"Hey, didn't you hear what my father just said, lowly humans don't have the authority to qu-"

"I asked you a question." Lias went on, ignoring Ellios, and instead looking straight to Los.

"It would seem that someone of importance has arrived." Los said to himself. "Very well." The man now spoke out loud. "We've come here on important business. For you see, young man, there has been a recent runaway from the Kingdom of Rose. And I have every right to believe that this person has come into your castle. So let's be done with this quickly, hand over Emma and we'll be on our way."
