Chapter 2

A few days have passed since Ryuu came to this world.

Frowning deeply, Ryuu stopped for a moment to take a breath as he stared at the interface.

[Leaf Concentration Technique Lv 2: 3/20]

A day ago, after lazing around due to his illogical anxiety, Ryuu finally managed to calm down and look at things rationally. What was there to be anxious about? Or rather, was there even anything that could make him miss his previous life?

Being a shut-in, the life that Ryuu knew was that of an introverted kid without friends or anything important to himself. For a long time, he was lonely and lacked perspective. Such a meaningless life naturally couldn't end well, now that a new chance was given to him on a plate, why wouldn't he accept it? Being an orphan once more wasn't a problem to him, not to mention that he even had two monthly allowances as well. One from the village welfare program for orphans, and the other from his own clan.

With the money and the time in his hands, he was sure that he could live very well even if he only became a civilian.

But... was that the type of life that he wanted to live? The answer is an upper-case 'no'. This is not the world he knew anymore.

Whereas kids in his previous life who were about 22 kg could only carry 3.5 kilos, he, who was a little bit malnourished due to not eating properly every day, could already carry 15 kilos.

And that was without training, there was simply no way to compare the humans of this world with those from his previous world. If he, a child that had yet to train his own body could already carry this much weight, what about an adult? He wouldn't be surprised if they could carry triple that amount of weight.

Chakra was a mysterious form of energy with all sorts of benefits even if always in a passive state. That's why civilians in this world were so strong and healthy despite not actively trying to be so.

In short, this is a world where the impossible can be real, where dreams might actually come true!

Women, longevity, money, power... what can't he achieve in this world? Not to mention the possibility of becoming a true hero or even a conqueror...

"Hehe! It's decided then. I, Uchiha Ryuu, shall become a true incomparable existence in this world! A tyrant that lives by his own rules without a tinge of regret! Danzo? Sarutobi? Madara? Who gives a fuck? If they mess around me, I will make them eat dirt! This is what a truly fulfilling life looks like!"

Grinning like an idiot, Ryuu laughed loudly with his head turned towards the sky.

From afar, many children looked at him strangely.

"Hey, what is he doing?"

"Maybe he remembered a good joke?"

"I think he's crazy."

Unaware of what the kids around him were guessing, Ryuu stretched his hands high up into the sky with a warm smile on his face.

He had never felt so good before.

Maybe finally having a goal changed something within him? Ryuu mused to himself as he sat down under the shadows of a tree not too far from the playground.

After sitting, he picked up a small green leaf and pondered for a moment.

Being a software development otaku in his previous life, he had long learned about the concept of incremental iterations stemming from agile concepts like scrum and others.

In his current state, he was basically no different from most children in his age group and that was unacceptable. To achieve his goals, standing out is a matter of fact. If he can't even achieve this, all else is useless.

"Since I have a poor innate talent when it comes to Chakra Control, this one topic takes the highest priority in my 'backlog.' Before doing anything else, I must prepare a good foundation, and chakra control is the core on which I will build everything else..."

With a goal set, he closed his eyes and placed the small leaf on his forehead.

Soon, a minute passed, and with it came the sound of a notification.

[Leaf Concentration Technique experience increased by 1.]

Although it was just one notification, he couldn't help but widen his smile. There was something satisfying about being able to track his own progress. It was an addictive feeling because it allowed him to know that there was progress being made.

With those positive thoughts in mind, almost twenty minutes soon passed and with it, a new notification appeared.

[Leaf Concentration Technique raised to Lv 3: 0/30]

What he didn't expect though was what came next.

[Due to constant training, you have managed to stimulate your body's potential and improve your mind attribute. The interface has been updated.]

Staring dumbfounded at the notification, he soon closed it and opened his character sheet.

Name: Uchiha Ryuu

Age: 4

Class: None

Sub-classes: None

Attributes:

Mind: 3 (+1)

Skills:

Leaf Concentration Technique Lv 3 - 0/30

Tips: Attributes are based on the system's own judgment and may not accurately reflect the difference in power between two different individuals or the same individual after a period of training, aging, or other circumstances. I.E. a child with 150 Strength points may be physically stronger or weaker than an elderly with the same amount of points depending on various circumstances.

Staring at the interface for a while, Ryuu couldn't help but give himself a wry smile. Although the example was a little bit exaggerated, he understood what the system was trying to say. But even though that was the case, he didn't care much.

How cool is it that he can even see his own attributes improving? Although he couldn't see his strength yet, based on the system's tip, he believed that it was only a matter of time for him to be able to do so. Who knows, perhaps new things will be added to his interface as long as he discovers them somehow.

Just as he was about to continue his training, a young and melodic low-pitched voice attracted his gaze.

So, just wanted to say that most chapters will have between 1k and 1,5k words. I have a part-time job and college right after so I don't have much time to write. I hope you guys can forgive this aspect of the story. Also, let me know if you have suggestions or notice any grammar mistakes. English is not my first language so I'm pretty sure that there will be some weird things every now and then.
