Maya's POV
I tie my horse on the nearby tree, and I spread the picnic blanket on the grass, and how I wish I am with Adonis right now. I reprimand myself because I came to the clearing to clear my head and relax, and I know I should stop thinking about Adonis even for a while. I eat fruits, and I am eating my favorite San Antonio delicacy (Suman), a rice cake wrapped in banana leaves. I was eating my snack when I heard horse hooves from a distance, and I can tell it is coming my way.
I suddenly felt nervous about who it could be since only our circle of friends knew about this place, but I didn't bother to look up because before, it would only be Adonis who can ruin my day when he was still chasing me. I lay in the blanket, and I realized no matter what I do, I will always think about him, and no matter how I want to stop myself from reliving our sweet moments together, they will constantly playing on my mind.
