Firenia's Inheritance

Chapter 22

Reina followed the White fox instructions regarding her training. She started in managing the flow of her spiritual energy.

"Close your eyes kid and feel the flow of energy in your body" instruct the White fox.

Reina followed the instruction of the White fox. At first she finds it difficult to concentrate but as time goes by bit by bit she started to easily feel the flow of energy in her body.

"In using the spiritual energy it is important to use your creativity for example you want to defend something. Focus on the thing that you want to defend and create something using your imagination like creating shield" explained the White fox.

Reina followed what he said and she was amazed after ten times of trying she finally do it. Three days passed by and Reina's training still continues. On the third day, Reina prepared herself to spar with the White fox.

"Kid, this is the time for me to see the result of your training. I will not be merciful so prepare yourself" said the White fox.

"Ok" Reina replied. She has wounds all over her body because of the training.

The White fox first attacked Reina with water energy using its mouth. Reina wave her right hand and a barrier made with green spiritual energy formed. The White fox attacked penetrated the barrier she made and it directly hits her. She was thrown by hundred meters from where she stands and her back bumps on the wall.

"Aaaahhhh" Reina shouted after she bumped into the wall. "Can you be gentler?" she complained.

"Kiddo do you think you can tell that to your enemy?" asked the White fox curiously.

"It really hurts" Reina complained. Her clothes now are tattered.

"Let's continue" the White fox said then attacked again. Reina's body all over are aching already for the sparing.

"Does this stupid fox think I'm going to let him torture me" Reina said to herself angrily while looking at the White fox. Reina focused all her strength in creating a powerful barrier to herself and for the first time the White fox attacked bounced on the barrier. This time she attacked the White fox.

The White fox smiled at Reina's action. "I can't believe she learns it fast" then she slapped Reina using his claw. But Reina dodge it and kicked him on his butt. He didn't expect it so he was thrown far away but she didn't bumped into the wall. He jumped on it through side steps then land elegantly on the ground.

"Very good! Your progress is admirable. You can take a rest for the mean time before we continue" replied the White fox. "Here eat this" the White fox offered her different kinds of fruits.

For the past three days she is eating the fruits that the White fox offered her. She didn't know where he takes it but she just eat.

"Hey Farron, I'm just curious. Where did you get this fruits?" asked Reina while eating to its heart content.

"It's a secret for now. In the future if you are ready I will tell you" replied the White fox. "Are you done eating now? Can we proceed to the training?" he added.

"Yes, let's continue. My people are all waiting for me so I need to finish my training for today" Reina replied.

Then the White fox attacked again, he also added strength to his attacked which caught Reina off guard and thrown again. This time she was thrown much farther and because of strong impact when she bumped into one of the wall it broke leads her inside of a certain chamber.

"Awwww…..this dumbed fox really getting on my nerves" Reina said while trying to stand.

She was stunned when she learns that she is inside of one of the chambers in the temple.

"Where is this place?" she looked at the entire room. "It seems like a prayer room for me because of the presence of an altar in front of me" she mumbled to herself. Then she see an old jewelry box at the table in front of the altar. She walks near the said old jewelry box "What kind of thing could an old jewelry box contain in this ruined temple" she said to herself.

Reina wipes the dust covering the jewelry box. Because of her wounds especially her hand wiping the dust her blood smeared on it. The red jewel at the top of the jewelry box were her blood smeared disappeared without her knowing and the jewelry box unlocked itself.

"What the ....." Reina almost thrown the jewelry box because of surprise when she heard its unlocking sounds. She is on her own that made her even more frightened for any small sounds. She opened the jewelry box and see a bloody red crystal like bead. It also has dust on it.

"What is this?" Reina grabbed the red crystal with her wounded hand and wipe the dust on it. The red crystal absorbs her blood and then it glitter beautifully in her hand.

"Wow, this is beautiful" Reina said with admiration in her eyes.

"Hey Kiddo put it down. That thing is dangerous" said the White fox beside her.

"Aahhhhhh" Reina shouted loudly because of her surprise to the White fox presence. She almost thrown the red crystal but the crystal seemed stuck to her palm.

Then it glowed again and slightly entered half of it on her palm.

Reina felt frightened when she see half of it is stuck on her palm. She wave her hand violently but still it didn't even budge.

"Hey Farron, why did this thing stuck in my hand?" asked Reina while forcing the red crystal out of her hand.

The White fox sigh "Because it choose you to be its new owner" he replied.

"What? How was that possible?" asked Reina confusedly.

"It is easy kiddo, that thing has its own consciousness that is why it knows how to choose its owner. If that thing didn't recognize you, you're already an ash now" replied the White fox casually as if telling an ordinary trivia.

Reina almost puked blood with the White fox words. "This stupid fox is really testing my patience" she said to herself angrily.

"Hey kiddo are you cursing me?" asked the White fox innocently.

"Oh! I'm honestly complimenting you" Reina said sarcastically.

"Are you sarcastic?" asked the White fox suspiciously.

Reina's eyes twitch "Patience is a virtue Reina" said to herself.

"No I'm not, your just imagining things" replied Reina innocently. "But I'm just curious, what is this thing?" she added.

"That is the inheritance left by Firenia" replied the White fox.

"What!" Reina was stunned with what she heard.

In the novel it is supposed to be found by Leonor and the Crown Prince here in the ruined temple by accident. This inheritance is very powerful but as the White fox said this cannot be owned by anyone because this things is actually choosy of its owner. How come this thing choose her. Reina looked at the red crystal in her palm. This time it didn't glow just like earlier.

"The one who will be chosen by that thing is said to be a future reigning monarch of this continent" said the White fox.

"Mr. Fox I am just a simple passerby. I am not aiming to become a leader. I just only want to survive and protect those important to me. Becoming a reigning monarch is too much for me" replied Reina with invisible tears.

"I'm sorry but I can't decide for you. That information is written in the Prophecy in the ancient Kingdom during my time" replied the White fox. Even he can't believe that the human he choose is actually the one in the Prophecy during his time. The White fox smile mysteriously and Reina wasn't aware of this because she is too focused on worrying about her life.

"My plan of living a luxurious and happy life all gets ruined by this inheritance" Reina said to herself.

The White fox entire body suddenly emitted a dazzling light all of a sudden. Reina covered her eyes then after a moment she remove her hand and look at the White fox.

"Hey, what happened..." before Reina finished her words she was shocked on what she see.

The one in front of her is not a huge dog with white and fluffy fur but a seductive man who is almost naked. Its long blue hair and gray eyes are almost perfect to his handsome face. His bare chest is exposed with perfect abs and only wearing a piece of cloth covering the thing in between his legs.

Reina felt like her nose is bleeding for the dazzling sight she is experiencing.

"W-who are you?" asked Reina curiously.

"Hey kiddo are you stupid? It's me Farron" the man replied with irritation in his voice.

Reina's mouth agape with surprise "This handsome man is the White fox" she mumbled to herself.
