Being Attacked

Chapter 3

The road is really bumpy and the carriage she was riding is the simplest one. Now her buttocks is aching badly. Before she left the mansion Ericka nags her about bringing a lot of knight but she convince her that she just need only one. Her knight is Alabaster, one of the head knight of Duke Von Helios. He is also his personal knight. He is a handsome man with black hair and purple eyes. He is loyal to the Duke and died while protecting her in the novel.

According to the owner's body's wish, she had to protect this people. "How am I going to do that?"

Out of nowhere there carriage bump on to something.

"My lady, don't get out", said Alabaster.

''Why? What happened?", Reina looked at the window cautiously.

She was shocked on what she saw. There are two giant bears in front and only Sir Alabaster is fighting with it. She started to regret her decision of not bringing the other knight. Sir Alabaster is wounded already and his clothes were tattered already. She also saw when one of the bears slapped the knight. Sir Alabaster bump his body on the nearby tree. While the other bear slapped the carriage. Their horseman is already dead and Reina is thrown out of the carriage.

"Oh! My God, don't get near me". She runs beside Sir Alabaster.

"My lady, what are you doing here? Leave me already this is my duty. It's a shame to us knight if the person we serve die." said Sir Alabaster while maintaining his strength to stand and continue fighting the bear.

"Don't tell me that nonsense were going to survive." Reina helps the knight to stand.

"My lady be careful…." But before the knight finished his words. Reina was slapped by the bear and thrown far away. The bear scratched her back with his claws and her body bump heavily on the ground. Her right arm was dislocated while puking blood. She lost her consciousness.

The knight was horrified with what he saw. He force himself to stand and get near to the lady but the bear don't let him. Sir Alabaster fought mightily at the bear while the other bear approach Reina. It tried to smack her again but to its surprise its hands just bounced back and the bones on its hands shattered.

"Roar!", the bear groan in pain.

Sir Alabaster was surprised, he saw a green energy flowing from his mistress body. Sir Alabaster slashed the bear's neck when it gets distracted. But before he rescued her mistress the other bear attacked again. The bear's claw just bounced back and its other claws bones shattered. Sir Alabaster slashed the other bear on its neck. The two bear's body lied on the ground lifelessly while its head was severed by its body.

"S-Sir A-Alabaster, what happened?" Reina forced herself to get up.

"They are dead, how are you young Miss?"

"My body is aching terribly but I am still fine!"

"My lady I am surprised to know that you have the blessing of the wind spirit king".

"That's nonsense how was it possible?"

"But miss a while ago when the bear tried to kill the power of the spirit king of the wind protected your body. You have the blessing of the wind spirit king?"

"How did you know that it's the spirit king?" even Reina is curious. In the original novel, the Duke's family is blessed by the spirit king of the wind but the power doesn't manifest in anyone of them. That is also the reason why her family was annihilated.

"Miss the color of your spirit energy purer than anyone who has the blessing of ordinary spirit. I can feel it, the pureness of your energy."

"If what you said is true, please don't tell it to others ok".

"Ok miss".

"By the way Sir Alabaster kindly help me first. I can't stand on my own."

"Then pardon me", sir Alabaster carry Reina like a princess.

"I think we need to go back home instead of going into the capital", Reina said to her knight.

When Ericka saw Reina's appearance she felt herself puking blood.

"What happened?"

Even the Duke who is talking to the Butler was shocked.

"Alabaster, what happened to my daughter?" the asked grimly.

"We are attacked by the bears in the woods on our way to the capital. The carriage was destroyed. The miss was scratched by one of it. Forgive me duke for my negligence. I will receive my punishment later".

"No, father it's my command not to bring the other knights", don't bully him.

The duke felt his blood pressure is going up.

"Reina Von Helios, do you think I am joking with you?" asked the duke angrily.

"I know you're not".

"Reina, for every decision you made there is a corresponding result. In your hands are not just your life but the life of those who believe in you. So you have to be responsible for every outcome. You as a leader has a duty as well as your subordinate. Let it be a lesson you will remember for your entire life. No buts, sir Alabaster receive your punishment later. Ericka help your miss to go to her room."

"Yes, Duke".

"Let's go miss".

"OK father, forgive me for my recklessness".

Ericka guide Reina to her room.

"By the way sir Alabaster, how come you encounter the bear in that place? We already cleared up that place to be free from wild beast."

"I'm also shocked duke when the two beast appear. The coachman died on the spot and the carriage got destroyed. The almost got killed I am also suspecting that something doesn't feel right".

"Contact Sir Logan Volton, asked him to investigate what had happened", the duke said seriously.

"Ok, sir".

While in the palace....

"Your highness I successfully send the information to your subordinate."

"Good job, Tito", said the beautiful man with silver long hair and blue eyes. He also has thick eyelashes like a woman. A muscular body wearing an Egyptian style of clothing. He is so sexy and alluring.

"Do you have something to say?"

"Your highness on my way I've met the beast sent by the crown prince but before it attacked me it encounters the duke daughter's carriage. She only brought one knight with her and a horseman. The horseman died on the spot while the duke's daughter almost got killed. But when the bear was about to kill the lady there is a mysterious flow of wind energy surrounded her body".

"Well well well, it's interesting. So that brainless kind of woman was blessed by the wind spirit.", said the prince while smiling wickedly.

"And not just ordinary wind spirit. It's the blessing of the wind spirit king".

"Are you sure?" the shocked prince asked.

"Yes, your highness. I feel the purest energy on her. She is powerful but the way the knight reacted seems awkward. I think they don't know her abilities yet."

"That's surprising because that kind of talent deserves to be well known. The first one who will become interested on her was the crown prince itself. We need her to become one of us that kind of brainless woman who only knows how to pester a man is simple minded", said the prince wickedly.

"Investigate her first let us know whether we can really use her and to what extent".

"Yes, your highness".

"A woman who possessed the blessing of the spirit king is born every one hundred years. So the legend is real in the duke's family. The one who will obtain the favor of the one who is blessed by the spirit king will stand at the pinnacle of the world", a devilish smile appear on the prince.

In the crown prince office...

"Your highness, forgive me I lose track of the seventh prince messenger. I encountered the duke's daughter and his knight sir Alabaster. They killed the two beast I released", a man wearing a black hood is kneeling in front of a wickedly handsome prince.

"You are too useless Rigo. That is just a brainless woman no need to make a fuss", said the handsome man.

"But prince Helios the lady you are referring to is not easy to deal with".

"Why? She didn't even know anything but to pester me every now and then", said the prince with irritation.

"Your highness, that woman is blessed by the wind spirit king. She is the realization of the legend in the duke's family. Whoever she favors is destined to become the leader of all the kingdoms."

"What did you say? How come? I know her she didn't even have a little bit of spiritual energy fluctuations?"

"Even me I am also surprised on what I see during that time. The energy protected her, it shattered the bones of one the beast that I sent."
