The secret of the crest

After talking for some time with Itami I fell asleep. The next day Quinella woke me up early at 7 to go to the meeting.

So I dressed up quickly and have some breakfast after finishing my meal I went to the basement to check up on Mary and to give her breakfast.

She was sleeping peacefully like a nice little girl. So I didn't wake her up. I just went near her face, kissed her on the cheeks, and told her to eat breakfast.

I don't know who she thought I am but she said "Don't worry Wits, I am going to eat it after some time" After saying that she grabbed my face and kissed me on the lips.

I was so shocked to see her act like that. I think she thought of me as her husband. But whatever it always feels nice to get a lip kiss early in the morning.

I left the basement and went upstairs and called Quinella. She appeared in front of me in 5 minutes.

After her arrival, we left our house and get on a carriage sent by Gilbert. After a short ride, we reached Trivut's house.

Lara and Gilbert were already there before us. After entering the house we greeted everyone and take our seats.

Trivut bought some tea for us. So we take a cup of tea and started to talk about that day's incident.

At first, Gilbert looked me and said: "Chris, I am asking you to make sure something, If you don't mind can you answer my question honestly?"

When he said those words to me I understood that he is going to ask me if I stole the crest or not, so before he could even ask me I replied "Yeah, I stole the crest from the princess's room".

After hearing my words he sighs and says that "I already heard it from Trivut but I wanted to hear it directly from your mouth that's why I wanted to ask you that but it seems like you read my mind".

I smiled and said, "Don't worry I didn't read your mind I don't possess such power".

He also smiled and said, "I was just messing with you by the way did you bring the crest with you".

I replied, "Yeah but before showing you the crest I want to ask you something?"

He looked at me with a serious look in his eyes and said "Go ahead".

After getting his permission I asked him "Are you here to retrieve the crest?"

After hearing my question Trivut put down her cup and said: "What are you saying Chris there is no way that Gilbert would betray us".

She was going to say something again but that's when Gilbert stopped her and said "I know that you stole it cause of a good reason so for now I am not going to retrieve it, after hearing your reason I am gonna decide if the reason is good enough to let you go or not".

After hearing his words I asked him "Are you going to arrest me if the reason seems not good enough to you?"

He laughed and said "If that was my intention then I wouldn't have helped you to escape from the palace"

He has a point so I guess I can trust him so I put my hand in Quinella's breast cause there was a secret pocket and was going to take the crest out but that's when Lara slapped me on the right side of my cheek and Trivut Slapped me on the left side.

After getting 2 slaps I dropped the crest on the floor and fell on the sofa.

My head was still spinning after getting the slaps but I remember Lara's and Trivut's angry faces.

Gilbert was saying something like "OH! What a poor boy".

Quinella quickly rushed toward me and asked me "If I am okay or not?"

I replied, "I am okay you don't have to worry about me and asked her where the crest is?"

She pointed at the floor and said "Here it is let me pick it up for you".

She picked up the crest for me. I showed the crest to Gilbert and when he was about to take it from my hand I split it and showed him the hidden crest inside it.

He was shocked when he saw the hidden crest and asked me "Why is an Azaria crest hidden inside it?"

I replied "I don't know, when I first saw it I felt something strange about it so I stole it to investigate" After saying it I asked him "What is an Azaria crest?"

He holds the crest and looks at it one more time and said "Every dungeon has its crest at the floor boss's room and the crest here belongs to the floor boss's room and the crest is known by its dungeon name so the crest that I am holding now is an Azaria crest since it's the sign of the Azaria dungeon".

After saying it he placed his hand on his head and said "It's just not possible nobody ever cleared the Azaria dungeon then how the crest is here".

After hearing his words now I knew why he didn't give much notice to the sign carved on the monsters.

I was going to say something but that's when Lara said "Maybe the Rose family cleared the dungeon secretly and didn't announce it publicly".

After hearing Lara's words Gilbert said in a serious tone "It's not possible Lara cause since the dungeon appeared it was opened to adventures and the kingdom didn't restrict the entrance even once and moreover it's impossible to conquer the dungeon without being noticed by the subjects of the kingdom"

Lara nodded her head and agreed with his logic. I suddenly asked him "When was the dungeon discovered and by whom?"

He looked kinda surprised that I didn't know that but anyway he opened his mouth and said "The dungeon was first discovered by Azaria Zekken the son of the previous hero Oliver Zekken and there is a rumor that the hero left something valuable on the floor boss's room in the dungeon".

After hearing his last words I was shocked cause if the hero left something valuable there that means he had to clear the dungeon to get there so if it's true then it means that he cleared that 55 layers of the dungeon all by himself.

Just by looking at my face Trivut said "You must be thinking how is it possible to clear a dungeon all by himself, right?"

My mouth was still open from the shock so I nodded my head. Trivut then proudly said, "He didn't become a hero for no reason and he proved that many times and ultimately everyone agreed that he is the most powerful hero ever summoned to this world".

My mouth opened even more when she said the hero was summoned. So that means the people of this world know that there is another world beside them and the scariest thing is that they can summon other people from another world to their world.

After listening to all those information I made up my mind to research the previous hero Oliver Zekken but I need the help of Quinella to get the correct information so I will just wait for now and when I get home I will gather all the information and will report to Itami.

On the other side, Itami is now playing PS 5 after talking with Robin. When he was about to clear another level, that's when Joseph called him and asked him to come over to his den.

So Itami put on his jacket and get ready to go there. In just 30 minutes he reached his destination.

Joseph was sitting on a chair and was drinking a beer so he go near him and sat beside him and asked: "Why did you call me, is there any problem?"

Joseph looked at him and said, "Yeah boss there is a problem 2 of our organization's members sacrificed their life for the project".

Itami didn't get surprised instead he said "They fulfilled their roles, they sacrificed themselves for the betterment of the project, now it's up to us not to let go their sacrifice go in vain and betray their expectations".

Joseph looked at the sky and said "Yeah, we have to try our best so we can face them in heaven".

There were some silent moments after the conversation. But Itami breaks the silence by asking him a question.

He asked Joseph "Can you tell me the motive of your organization again?"

Joseph smiled and said, "Of course, it's my pleasure to let you know of our motive".

After saying that he told Itami that "There are 2 motives of the True Salvation organization one is primary and another is main,

To save as many people as possible is our primary motive. After listening to his primary motive Itami asked him "From what do you want to save people?"

He replied "From doing any more sins, the people have done more than enough sins to bought the wrath of god so before their souls get destroyed by the curse of god we are trying to release them from their physical body"

After hearing it Itami scratched his head and said "OK, then what is your main motive?"

He replied with a demonic smile "To regain the lost love of god". (To be continued)
