Acceptance

"Does she really have cancer." I asked my brother.

"...Yes." He quietly answered.

"Is she like... going to be okay...?" I asked carefully.

"...I... I don't think she's going to make it..." He answered.

"..no..." I cried.

Namjoon opened his eyes and jumped from the chair. He looked very worried.

"Se-ri! Are you okay?" He asked.

"...I guess I am okay." I answered to him.

It was great to see Namjoon, even though we just met at the school. It just feels like it's been forever.

"By the way... how long have I been sleeping?" I asked them both.

"..." Namjoon stayed quiet.

I looked at my brother in confusion.

"Uh... Kang-dae? How long have I been sleeping??" I asked him.

"...I'm sorry." He mumbled "You've been in come for a month..." he continued.

"WHAT?! A MONTH?! ...why- *sob*..." I cried.

I was shocked. It's already been a moth since mom called and said that she has cancer. She has gotten much worse since then. My heart was aching from the pain. It was too painful to think about it, and I guess that is why I passed out in the first place.

Kang-dae and Namjoon left the room to give me some time to think.

One thing was weird.

Who was the man who saved me?

I kept thinking about the incident and the man who saved me. I didn't see his face because I passed out almost instantly when he saved me from falling to the ground.

"AH! The graduation! I wonder what happened." I said to myself.

Suddenly I heard the door opening and I thought it was Kang-dae, but it was the doctor.

"Hello! Nice to meet you! My name is Dr. Park Chanwook. I'm the one that has been taking care of you for a month." Dr. Park announced.

"Hello. My name is Lee Se-Ri." I answered him, but then I realized that he's the one that has been taking care of me for a month so of course he must know my name.

"Hahaha. Yes I already knew that." Dr. Park laughed.

I was suddenly hit by a sharp pain coming from my back. I ignored it and continued the converstation.

"When am I able to go home?" I asked him.

"Honestly, I think you could go home today! You look great and I think you're alright." He answered.

"Really? Wow that's great! Thank you so much!" I answered happily.

"No problem miss Lee." He said.

After the doctor left, I put some clothes on and packed the rest of my stuff.

Before I could open the door I heard Kang-Dae from the other side of the door. He seemed to be a little irritated for some reason.

I wonder who he is arguing with. I hope it's not Namjoon... hahaha.

My brother doesn't really like Namjoon. He thinks he's using me or something. They always fight when they have a chance or when I'm not around. But I thn that deep down he likes Namjoon. (As a friend *cough* or *cough* not *cough*)
