"Absolutely not!" Aidan roared.
"Aidan," Ivy started, placing a hand on his arm, but he glared at her before turning back to me.
"Under no circumstances do you need to be seeing Giovanni again," he said.
I took a deep breath, trying to remain calm in the face of his anger. "Aidan, I understand your concern, but we never sorted out what Giovanni wants from me. We never got to put that whole Slava thing to rest because I went into labor!" I exclaimed.
"You have bigger things to worry about now, Ellie. I will set things straight with Giovanni Leones. All you need to worry about now is to be the mother to your children," Adrian argued.
"And what if he won't stop, Aidan? What if ignoring him just makes things worse?" I asked, frustration seeping into my voice. "We can't pretend he doesn't exist. He has already intruded into our lives, and we need to know what he really wants."
