Prepare for More

It seems Ashley did as I asked and made sure the house was reinforced. That's definitely good but let's see if I can just get in.

Knock Knock!

I could hear someone getting closer to the door till I heard her softly say.

"Who's there?" Ashley asks cautiously.

"It's me Sevarian." I answer while keeping an ear out.

I was in the open right now so I definitely needed to be careful just in case someone or something approached me.

"Okay give me a second." She says while a bunch of stuff being moved is heard.

It seems she barricaded the door since it's not in the best shape after the undead broke in. But after a few moments she had managed to open up the door for me to enter.

"Wow, you look... different." She says while staring at me.

I was wearing that trench coat from before and probably had some blood on me. It wasn't surprising for her to notice the difference but I wonder how mom's doing.

"I found some stuff. How's mom doing?" I ask while putting my sword away.

"She's okay, just was worried about you." Ashley responds while slowly putting things back in front of the door.

"Don't block it just yet. I found a safe place to take you and Mom." I say while approaching the stairs.

There wasn't many safe havens in the game but it's good if they exists since not everyone is capable of fighting against such beings.

"Are you sure it's safe?" Ashley questions with a concerned tone.

"They've got plenty of police officers there and soon I'm sure the army is bound to arrive." I answer while thinking.

It's definitely safer then Mom just being here at the house considering there isn't as much to use for protection. The police still seem to be doing what's right so it's the best idea for right now.

"Okay then let's go get her." Ashley says while rushing past me up the steps.

The only odd thing about this was that I didn't receive another quest yet. I wonder why that is.

Regardless I went upstairs with Ashley and helped mom get some stuff ready to go.

"You both need to follow behind me closely. I'll make sure to clear a path as need be." I say while pulling my sword out once more.

This sword was definitely a good thing to receive but I'm not sure what is the best to use besides this just yet. There's bound to be better weapons in the world considering the fact that there's a ranking system still.

"Okay... Sev.." Mom says with a scared tone.

This is all really hard to understand since we were just in school earlier but I have to be honest with myself. This is the only way to keep everyone alive.

But we made our way downstairs and put the house, it was time to bring them to the safe haven I found earlier. The northern Square was definitely worth checking out since it got me where I am now.

I've got a huge advantage at the moment considering my start but no one will know that but me.

I also have to check my other skill tree since I didn't level it yet but that can wait till mom and Ashley are safe.

"It's a mess out here." Ashley says while looking around.

"Yeah, it wasn't easy to get there and back." I reply while looking ahead.

Seems that me clearing as much as I did earlier helped out quite a bit so this will give us a better chance to get there with no problems. After a bit of walking, that's actually how it went.

Nothing seemed to be in the way and officers were on guard before us.

"Hey, you're the kid from before." The officer says.

"Can you bring my mom and friend in?" I question while focusing on the place behind him.

They had plenty of armed security for this place so it shouldn't be a problem for them to be safe here.

"Of course kid. Aren't you coming in too?" He asks with a curious tone.

That's quite a dangerous place to go but it seems that I don't have a choice here. My quest leads there so that's where I need to go for the time being.

"I can't, I have someone to help." I say while looking over at mom.

I can't be honest about the system since I don't know what some people will say.

"Sevarian you can't go back out there." Mom says with a serious tone.

"I won't be long Mom. It's for the safety of you and the others. I'll be okay." I reply while giving her a smile.

She always cares a lot about me but it's my turn to take care of her. So before she could say anything else I gave her a hug and ran off towards the side.

The school would definitely be quite a hike but I think I'll be okay. I have quite the setup for the beginning of the new world.

But as I ran past mobs and towards the school I caught something out of the corner of my eye. It looked like a girl but she seemed to have some sort of mob power to her.

Am I seeing that right? Shit, it doesn't matter right now, I need to get to the school to find this messenger.

Do other humans possess similar power to mine or were they given different gifts?

"Help!!" A man shouted as he fell to the ground.

Not far ahead I could see a man who just fell to the ground while avoiding some weird knight looking enemy. It couldn't be an undead knight right?

That could be a bit annoying if it possesses good fighting skills which is highly possible.
