"We came here together," Darwin replied on her behalf.

"What did he mean by that?

Darwin did not look at Nicole. He threw his car key to Tomas and explained casually, "Ms. Francis went to my house to pack my luggage, so we came together."

His reason made sense, it sounded reasonable.

The crowd nodded as if they were satisfied by the answer. They then entered the airport and lined up to get their boarding pass.
