Chapter 40 He Is Jealous

Nicole put down her spoon and smiled apologetically. "Sorry, Mr. Matthews. I have to take this call."

"Of course." Aaron gestured her to go ahead.

Nicole fumbled in her bag and took out her phone. When she saw the caller ID, she couldn't help but look surprised.

"Who is it?" Aaron casually glanced at the screen of her mobile phone and quickly looked away.

Nicole held her phone and said, "My husband."

"I see, don't keep him waiting." Aaron smiled knowingly.

Nicole nodded, stood up with her phone, and walked out of the restaurant.

"Hello?" She stood by the roadside and answered the phone.

"Nicole, didn't I tell you to come back as soon as you can? Where are you?" Darwin's cold voice came from the other end of the phone, he sounded anxious.

"I'm having lunch outside. What's the matter?" Nicole frowned and became nervous.
